Dr. Kendall Aki Itoku, MD

Dr. Itoku -- as well as his support staff -- all seem to be continuously "in a hurry". They were short with their responses to most of my questions. The receptionist was unclear on certain explanations of completing forms -- which, by the way, are in need of serious updating, clarification and general "space" to print patient medical history and information. When I casually mentioned this to his receptionist, she simply told me "that's the form we use", then told me to take a seat. As far as Dr. Itoku himself, he quickly answered a couple of questions I asked of him, with no obvious effort to go into my real concerns and long term impact of my urological situation. He cannot "read" his patients' reactions or emotions. He was obviously in a hurry to move on to his other patients. He may be a fine physician, but he seriously needs to refine his "people skills". I suppose I'll continue seeing him only because my primary physician referred Dr. Itoku to me. If you are looking for a… friendly urologist in a friendly office environment, look elsewhere.

Dr. Itoku has been my Urologist for the past 6 years and if you are looking for a brilliant professional in his field, I would highly recommend him!

He has no idea what he is doing, no ethics, please , don’t used him

Great office staff, excellent doctor. I had a TURP procedure done, Dr. Itoku explained everything in detail, no surprises, good outcome.

This guy is far better than sum of the reviews would suggest. If ur wanting pills thrown at you, wrong guy. Want the problem taken care of, definitely the right doctor. I’ve seen him several years ago and again this week

Run from him as fast as you can!

The doctor is a pretty good sergeon, but the office staff sucks. Dr. ran three hours late and no call to warn of delay or reschedule. Also staff forgot to provide dye for CAT scan.
