Dr. Kenneth Brian Briskin, MD

Similar to other reviews on here, I did not have a good experience. I was referred to him by my PCP due to ongoing vertigo. Despite being a new patient, he only checked my ears and said I had some impacted wax in my left ear. Without any warning of pain or pressure, he cleared the impaction and it was incredibly painful. I grimaced and definitely gasped out loud and he didn’t even react to see if I was okay or to pause. He was dismissive the remainder of the appointment and when the audiologist brought me back to his office l caught him with his feet up on his desk, leaning back. Without even looking me in the eye he said “your hearing is fine, we’ll see you for your balance test. Have a good day.” Throughout the day, there was building pain and pressure in the ear he cleaned and by that evening, my ear canal was dripping blood. I put a cotton ball overnight which was soaked through by the time I woke up. I was able to get an appointment with him that afternoon during which he was,… again, very dismissive about my pain and concern. He proceeded to clean out the blood, prescribe me ear drops, and walked out of the room. I had to ask if I was good to go which he said I was without even turning around to look at me. I expressed concern that I was still feeling pressure and a fluid feeling and he said “yeah, that’s the blood in your ear.” I’m sorry? You’re just sending me home with my ear canal actively bleeding? I asked if I should be concerned with the active bleeding and, AGAIN, without turning to so much as look at me while he walked down the hallway, I was told that’s what the ear drops are for. Needless to say, I’ll be canceling my balance test with this practice and won’t be returning. Dr. Briskin is dismissive and careless. Best part? Without examine anything by my ears with a regular otoscope, he indicated I had rhinitis. And for my second appointment, my notes said I had an ear infection in my left ear that HE caused.

I had ear pressure and some hearing loss. I thought with ENT my nose, throat and ears would be examined. Nope. Only my ears (very, very quickly) and then audiologist. Put on steroids for two weeks. Ear pressue issue is not 100% gone. Doctor spent only a little time with me. Was walking away when I had to ask how long I would be on steroids and if they prescription was there or called in. Not terribly empathetic.

I’ve had a few appointments with Dr. Briskin, which resulted in a surgery from him. He’s an amazing Dr. and he took very good care of me with my Sinusitis surgery. Very gentle, calming spirit he has. And he’d be highly recommended from me.

I have read the other reviews and am quite surprised as I had the exact opposite experiences. Dr. Briskin was quite attentive and ran appropriate tests as well as thorough follow ups. I highly recommend him.

I felt very rushed. He looked in my ear and said all was fine. One month later I had to go to urgent care with ear pain. I had lots of wax in the ear he said was fine. How could I have gotten all that wax in just a month?

Fake doctor- suggested a surgery which wasnt required.

This guy is a trip. If you want a doc who scares you with threats of cancer and who has no bedside manner whatsoever, this is your guy.

the reason for the visit was significant ear pain probably caused by increased allergies causing congestion in sinus and nose.Very quick exam of ear, nose and throat,for 5 min then shuffled down the hall for audiology (there was no decrease in hearing). audiologist gave him the report, he stood in the hall and said both eardrums working and moving fine and that there was no ear infection. Avoid what you are allergic to, no scripts needed,"I think it will go away soon" Interestingly this practice advertises that it treats allergies. No interest in the patient having ear pain, perhaps they are more interested in plastic surgery. They are not allergists, check WHAT they may be board certified in, VERY fruitless visit.

This doctors wasted my time and money. I actually diagnosed myself, which he wouldn't listen to because he is "the doctor." Told me I would just have to live with my problem. Other doctors in this office are just as bad if not worse. Don't waste your time going here.
