I had ligament release done by him have had some of the worse complications since. He wasn’t even present after I woke up from surgery 8 grand procedure and he wasn’t even there afterwards. People don’t care they only want your money BEWARE

Probable outcome was for a colostomy - however following cystoscopic exam opted for repair of fistula - Amazing, perfect results -- patient is recovering beautifully with no side effects and NO COLOSTOMY - So grateful for the extra time and considerations of Dr. Carney. I hope we never need another intervention for my 86 year old husband -- but if needed, we will be right back in Dr. Carney's office. Thank you.

In 2016 I had a surgery performed by Dr Carney. Horrible,horrible experience. His bedside manner was horrible to begin, I was sent to recovery after an 8 hour very invasive surgery with no pain medication prescribed by him or his staff. If it was not for my family raising h... I would have endured pain for hours. He could not be reached for consult after the surgery and the hospital administration had to order pain meds. That is just the beginning!!! Way to long to explain it all but 4 years later I still have nerve damage that hurts non stop every day and physical Disfunction.

Just to make this short and sweet. I have seen him a few times. Everything from the advice, diagnosis, plan, etc etc. was all great. He is very knowledgable and will talk to you until you are comfortable. I couldnt be happier.

I would strongly suggest finding someone better.

Had Surgeries since 14, now 23 and he has always been there for me, advised me when I stress and excellent at explaining what is going to be done. Other surgeons in same field referred me to him as he is one of the top in his field.

Doc Carney ( Mr. magic hands) is a very good and what he does; he is a well trained professional. Thank you Dr. Kenneth Carney for catering to my needs; your talent has ignited my self esteem.

This review is LONG overdue, but finally getting around to writing it. Dr. Carney treated my husband who is a very shy, private man. He took such care to make him comfortable while he went through a great deal of testing to formulate a treatment plan. My husband had a very bad accident when he was 11. He needed scar tissue removed before his urinary system shut down. It was a major operation with a long recovery time. Dr. Carney gave us all possible contacts, answered any questions my husband had at any time. His skill in this area of surgery is impressive. He told my husband at the time that he would need further treatment but he hoped he would be good for 12-15 years. It has now been 13+ years and my husband is once again having issues. He is seeing Dr. Carney today to build another plan. I have total confidence Dr. Carney will find a way to fix the issue. I do however agree with a previous reviewer that getting an appointment is very difficult, usually involving several phone calls.… The wait is long, but for the unparalleled service, it is worth it. Hats off to an outstanding physician.

This post is WAY past due....Dr. Carneys is THE best physician I have ever encountered. His specialty just happens to be urology and he is a genius in that dept. from my view. He is one of the most caring, compassionate, friendly Doctor's I have encountered in my 69 years. His bedside manner is so reassuring that you are immediately at ease with him. When my grandson was critically injured in 2010, with many life threatening injuries, Dr. Carney was the one who spent the next 18 months treating his urological injuries, one being a severed urethra. After more than a year and a half, time needed to allow brain and other injuries to heal & be repaired, Dr. Carney's urethra surgery restored him back to normal. It was a long hard battle, I do not believe any other Dr. could have performed the procedures as well. and treated this young man in the way that gave him and his family the hope to get through the many many months of treatments. From Day one he reassured us when the time was… right, after other surgeries that he needed first, he would not just repair his injury, he would fix him 'good as new'.....AND that is exactly what he did. It was a very long 18 months to the time that his surgery could be performed, but from the time of the auto accident, Dr. Carney encouraged us, and this young man, who sometimes was a VERY difficult patient, due to brain injury from the auto accident. After months of hospitalizations, and surgeries over the next 2 years he has made amazing steps in recovering from all his injuries, brain, lung surgeries, collapsed lungs. heart procedures, spleen removal, bowel tears, hip surgery. mrsa, infections, head wound, urological injury, going from wheelchair to walker, to cane, to no assistance walking!..... Grady is THE only place that could have saved this young man, he is here today due to the excellent care he received from the Grady staff & Doctor's. Dr. Carney and his expertise in urology restored this young man, and gave him a future. Oh, and as far as the wait time...there were times we waited many hours in the clinic, and glad to do so, because we knew some other needy or critical patient was being taken care of, usually in some emergency situation that he had been called for, somebody needed him and was getting helped...just like our family member did on that horrible day. So if you have a little wait...try not to complain please, that could be your loved one he is helping. THANK YOU Dr. Carney & staff for ALL you do...you ARE the best!
