He was very helpful and very knowledgeable he actually addressed me by name each time we met and asked about the baby he delivered each time. He always made me feel relaxed and when I changed insurance and tried to find another OBGYN I never found another to compare to his bed side manner and will be returning to have him as my doctor again.

I would never go there again he lie to much don't know how to treat his staff he only want money don't care about his patients only in the room with them for five minutes he keep you coming back just to get money I would never recommend any one there and the surgical coordinator is a snob she be on face book doing unprofessional things what kind of people do he have representing his practice

I was a patient of Dr. Finkelstein for years(10+) and trusted every treatment and word of advice he had given me. Every time he wanted to perform some type of procedure on me I agreed without any questions asked. Come to find out he totally lied to me which made me never to go back to him again. I was having intense lower back pain and my primary sent me for an MRI and CT scan and they found my Essure that looked missed placed. I called Finkelstein and he brought me in his office for a U/S. He lied and said there was a huge mass on my uterus that was causing me to have intense lower back pain and he had to give me a hysterectomy asap. I listened to him (had procedure done two days after he did the U/S) and two days after the procedure found out it was all a lie. He saw on the U/S that the Essure he implanted was in the wrong location years after the procedure. My anger towards him is not from the Essure being missed placed, or even from having a hysterectomy at the age of 31, it is… because I trusted him for years without a questioned asked and he flat out lied to me. How I know he lied, because I had the pathology report the whole time after the hysterectomy and I worked with the pathologist who performed the biopsy report. There was not any mass that was an emergency, just the Essure embedded into my uterus that he placed. For a doctor I referred so many people to because I thought he truly cared about his patients, I am truly sorry! The one good thing I have to say, he is a great surgeon. He performed many procedures on me and I never had any complications or post surgical infections.

I had an appointment with Dr. Finkelstein last year. It was my yearly exam and I didn't know if I wanted to go see my regular OB/GYN, who was located downtown Chicago. Dr. Finkelstein was much closer. I was late getting my monthly cycle and I took a pregnancy test before my appointment and it came up positive. I told the doctor right away when he came in for the brief 5 minutes. They did a test at the office and it came up negative. I told them I took a few tests and they all came up positive. He was very rude and insisted taht since his test didn't show me being pregnant, I wasn't. He sent me for bloodwork "just in case". Between teh time I went for the bloodwork and the 10 days it took me to get the results, I ended up having a miscarriage. I didn't call the doctor's office, but when they called me to tell me that my levels were high and the doctor wanted to see me again, I informed them that 10 days was too late to notify me and I had miscarried. The ER verified that I in… fact was pregnant. Dr. Finkelstein is supposed to be some big shot doc and I didn't think he was and I won't recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Finkelstein has been my normal ob/gyn for 10 years now. I had went from doctor to doctor looking for someone to figure out why I was having so much abdomen pain, turns out that I have been having problems with ovarian cysts for years. He has performed 6 surgeries on me (various issues and being young, we did everything we could to save my reproduction parts), delivered both of my daughters and now I am trusting him to make the right call on 10 years of nothing but issues. I have trusted and will continue to trust his judgement. I can't say enough about his wonderful bedside manner. Again, after 10 years of being his patient, the environment is comfortable and he takes the time to listen to me. The only complaint I have is the the Evergreen Park office could learn a thing or two from their Orland Park office. OP is prompt and kind when you call. Evergreen seems like a much more rushed environment. I highly recommend Dr. Finkelstein, he has been fantastic with me.

Dr. Finkelstein did not seem willing to fully explain his diagnosis, and answered my questions with a tone that implied that I should already know the answer. He also used technical medical terminology for body parts and procedures that the average person would not be familiar with.
