Dr. Kenneth Angus Powell, DO

I was treating with Dr Powell and his staff. I had several injections and an Oblation. After that they referred me to a doctor who did not even work for them but rented a space out of their office. Dr Puccio. He wanted to perform a spinal cord stimulator implant skipping the mandatory trial session. Then I found out he had a criminal background involving medicine. I explained to Dr Powell I would not be letting Dr. Puccio touch me with a 10-foot pole. After this I had an EMG appointment at their sister company who could not see me at the appointment time, so I had to reschedule. I spoke to a Nicole at Dr Powells office who was rude and accused me of cursing at her which I never did, and she ultimately apologized for the accusation. Since then, I was still waiting for a new appointment for the EMG. I contacted the office several times and never got a reply. I was called today by Dr Powells office to tell me that they were discharging me, and I would no longer be a patient of theirs. I… was also told that if they had to choose who to believe, me the patient or their staff member Nicole, they would believe her. This place is horrible. They almost sent me to a surgeon who was going to permanently implant a device in me without a trial. Thank God I did my own research. Then their staff Member Nicole who was completely rude and obviously is the reason they will no longer see me because I called her on her false allegation, and she was not happy. I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to this office. And stay away from Dr. Puccio, he is a criminal. Read less

A few years ago when he worked at a different location he performed a procedure to put in pain simulator wires. He did this with no anesthesia or local. After 30 - 40 minutes of torture I asked him why the 15+ shots he gave as he pushed the wires up my back did not help the pain. He said "we can not anesthetize in the dura cavity where the wires go." I asked then "why the shots", he said "to make you feel better." I would not wish him to do that procedure on my worst enemy. After the wires were removed because they did not work and the insurance company paid for the procedure he still wanted me to pay $2000. Luckily the receptionist admitted telling me there was only a $25 co-pay and they dropped the fee.

I met with Dr. Kenneth Powell and he was very unprofessional and lacked any bedside manner during our visit. He didn't seem to know anything about my history because I had to keep explaining my history and my status. When he lacked any knowledge, I requested that he look through my history and he refused. I didn't understand how a Dr. can proceed with treating you, if he refuses to look through your medical history. He ended up being unprofessional and degraded me when I asked for another Dr. that would listen. I don't know if he had a extremely bad day, but that was just unprofessional and very disappointing. He lost my confidence as a Doctor.

I got referred to Dr. Powell after my car accident. He was able to help get me back to feeling like my old self again without having to do any surgery on me. I am very appreciative to him and his staff.

Dr. Powell is amazing! I would recommend anyone to go see him if you are experiencing any type of pain. He has made a huge impact in my life!
