I visited Dr. Keneth Schor as I was diagnosed with narrow angles in a routine visit. This may be very serious in the event of a possible angle closure. Although I had made a lot of preliminary research, he took the time to explain in details about my diagnosis and the possible solutions. An irridectomy (a tiny hole in the upper part of the eye iris performed through laser technology) was suggested as a preventive measure to help opening the angle and avoid a possible acute glaucoma. Concerned as I was about the perspective of having an eye intervention, and having found no reviews in the internet about the doctor, I decided to have a second opinion and I went to the University Eye Center, where I was told more or less the same things about my condition. In addition, I managed to have more background information about Dr. Schor and his previous professional experiences as an ophthalmologist. The feed-back received was very positive and reassuring. He had worked with very good doctors… and was hired by a high demanding and selective medical practice. Consequently, I had both my eyes treated by Dr Schor and everything went well. Overall a very good experience, good doctor, taking care of his patients. To those who might find themselves in my shoes, I would say first to get in peace with themselves about the need to do the intervention. It is a relatively simple and low risk procedure.
