Dr. Smart has performed 2 breast surgeries on me in the last year. I developed a post operative issue after the second surgery that requires further surgery. I’ve seen 5 surgeons that are in agreement of this complication, yet Dr. Smart has repeatedly downplayed the need for further surgery and has discounted my feelings and concerns. He does not listen and takes offense when discussing the issues. I left his office on Wednesday in tears and no resolution. His staff is amazing and they always listen and care for the patients but I can no longer recommend Dr. Smart. I am now left with having to pay an additional $9,000 to have a large seroma removed and further revisions to a mastopexy. I understand there are risks with any surgery and I don’t blame him for the complication but he has not handled it professionally and I am left having to deal with it without his help. At this point I would never let him operate on me again but he should offer some type of compensation.

I cannot possibly say enough wonderful things about Dr. Smart and his entire team. I traveled all the way from NY for a "mommy makeover" and it is one of the best decisions I ever made. I had heard that I should not expect too much from the first consultation because a lot of time doctors treat those days like assembly lines and try to get as many in and out as possible and don't spend a lot of time with you. Not only did he spend a tremendous amount of time with me in person (after we had already had a face time call), but he really focused on MY body, the results I wanted and how we could achieve them. It was definitely not a "one size fits all" approach. I came with a list of questions, he answered each and every one and made recommendations I hadn't even thought of. After the consultation I still had even more questions and the staff was amazing. When it finally came to the big day they could not have been nicer. My mom, who is an RN, was with me and commented on how professional,… clean and great everything was. I gave my permission for them to video the surgery on Snapchat and my mom watched the whole thing. She was amazed with the precision, attention to detail and skill used by the entire team. I stayed overnight and the next morning was completely amazed at how little pain I felt (fear of the pain was probably the over-riding factor as to why I waited 20 years to get this done!). I stayed in Dallas for 2 weeks after surgery and had 2 additional follow up appointments. Both great. As for my results - beyond my wildest dreams - I'm not kidding. I really just wanted to get rid of that spare tire around my mid section and lift/reduce my triple D's. Dr. Smart completely re-sculpted my body. He reduced the flank (bra fat) area, gave me a beautiful waist (which he told me in the first consultation that he knew was "under there":) ) , sculpted an absolutely perfect belly button, reduced my breasts to the perfect size (even though I had no idea what they should be, I just wanted them to be "proportionate"!). I am 18 days post-op and of course still swollen - yet - even if this was the final outcome, I would still be absolutely thrilled. I can't even imagine what the final result will look like in a couple of weeks/months. Finding the right doctor for such a serious/life changing surgery is a very daunting task. I literally spent years doing "research". For me, Dr. Smart was the absolute perfect choice. I cannot recommend him and his team highly enough!

I will give Dr Smart and his staff an A++. He is kind, professional and knowledgeable. He takes an artistic approach that tells you he truly enjoys what he does and values good results. He listened to me, made suggestions to enhance what I wanted him to do but never pressured me to get more work done than I wanted/needed. I'm healing very well from my mommy makeover and I have him and and staff to thank!

I have seen him now for two proceedure and he is the BEST!!!! His whole office is great and he pays attention to every detail. I will only go to him if i need anything else ever done again.

Let me just start out with how I can't thank Dr Smart and his entire staff I went to 3 different doctors and was just about to change my mind on getting a Tummy Tuck until I walk in Dr Smarts office .I told my husband this is it I can feel it . And I was right They make you feel so at home not to mention the warm cozy laid back office,Dr Smart talk with me and step by step he told me what would be done. And its all done right there in the office/ Hosptial yes mamn after surgery you have your own private room and a one on one nurse boy was I in heaven,I am so excited how the results came out .I just never could imagine looking as good as I do.am and very little down time.
