Dr. Kenneth Warren Volker, MD

I have been going to Dr. Volker for about 8 years now! He has always listened to my concerns when I could not get any other Dr. to listen! I spent 4 years in pain going to every dr I could find and everyone of them told me I was fine! I had come to the conclusion I was going to spend the rest of my life in agonizing pain, untill one of my friends refers me to Dr. K Volker! I took the pictures from the other Drs and Dr Volker found out I had severe endometriosis, at last an answer! Dr Volker had me in for my sergary by the following week! Now I refer him to every woman I know

I can not begin to tell you just how much I loved Dr Volker! He was so nice and took his time and explained everything to me. Yes, the staff at the Summerlin location are eggheads but Dr Volker is THE best doctor!

This doctor did a procedure on me that made it so I am unable to have children. I am 31 years old and he did not have my permission. He did this based off the conversation we had on what treatments were available. One of which was a hysterectomy. Which I did NOT choose. I have called his office for months to try to get him to answer some questions and he is ignoring me and will not return my calls! Horrible follow-up care. Made damaging assumptions! Did not explain affects of surgery thoroughly. Unacceptable and unprofessional to not return patient phone calls.

The doctor himself has a good bedside manner, but not worth the wait. I had to wait nearly 2 hours to see him for 5 minutes of his time. But that wasn't even the big issue - his staff is HORRIBLE. From office check in, to nurses, to check out. Not a single one of them was friendly, or even pleasant. Felt I was interrupting their day by being there. After an hour wait I went to the front desk to ask if they could give me a time estimate on when I would be seen and the woman just looked at me and said, "I don't know." Then went back to her paper work. ??????? Had I not made this appointment months in advance I would have left, but instead I stuck it out. His nurse was another miserable person, in a hurry, annoyed at my questions. Dr. himself is nice, but I think he just "yeses" you a lot so he could move it along. Then upon check out I had to face another miserable, unfriendly-on-the-border-of-being-rude person. It was just ridiculous. I was told by him to follow up in two weeks and she… wouldn't schedule me for another month because 'that's all he has.' I think their office is just really busy, churn 'em in and churn 'em out practice. I wouldn't recommend this doctor or his practice to anyone, you just don't get personalized care here, despite what he advertises.
