Dr. Kenneth Andrew Whittaker, MD

Our 3 boys have gone to Dr. Whittaker for 13 years. I see what some of those who are displeased with him are saying, but I honestly don't think he's talking down or being as disrespectful as it might appear. We have always really appreciated him, as being very balanced and understanding. He listens, has appropriate feedback, and will always refer to experts if the situation warrants it. My husband is in the healthcare profession and works with a lot of Drs, We wouldn't take our kids there if we felt he was arrogant and rude. He's very confident in his abilities and expertise, and that's what we want in a Dr. It may come across as being rude, to some, but I see it as confidence and aptitude. He helped us with a very scary situation when my youngest was a baby, even calling me in to do a lumbar puncture in his office on his lunch break. Deb was there too and they met us at the back door. I was in tears, and he put his arm around me and said it would be ok. That was exactly what I… needed in that moment, as well as knowing that my baby was in good, caring, skilled hands! I would recommend him and his staff!

Condescending Dr. Whitaker is beyond rude and unprofessional. Donâ??t make the mistake of bothering him when he is on call, I have had the displeasure of talking to him several times and itâ??s always a mistake. Heâ??s extremely arrogant and makes you feel like the questions you ask are stupid. I wonâ??t even call in anymore if he is the one on call. Iâ??ll take my daughter to another town all together to avoid him. Would NOT recommend him.

THis Physician has a hard time referring his patients to other speialists when parents have concerns of other issues that are out of his scope of his medicine. Also, office by a busy road and staff not very understanding of or aware of children who significant special needs too quick to judge, as is physician. Does not do well with parents who are assertive, and basically parents know their kids and this was not shown. This is very concerning would not recommend this physician. Was not aware of off label use of a medication used for medication for sleep and behavior. He was nice to the the children but was not open to listening to looking at other things when parent expressed concerns instead it was used against her. It had devasting results in the end not much flexibility. I recommend parents to ask for your chart notes because this physician and his staff document information in the medical record all kinds of things that just mind suprise you. thank you.

All of the moms that I have spoken with have said the offic staff is rude, snotty and very unfriendly. Constantly talking about their personal lives and gossiping about everyone and everyone. As for Dr. Whittaker, Myself as well as others have the same opion. He rushes through the procedure and when you ask questions he speaks down to you like "Im the doctor your the parent". Even though its true he shouldn't be making these parents feel this way and sure doesn't make you feel good walking out of his office. I wont be returning.
