Dr. Kerry Gay Romelle Schlecht, MD

Dr. Schlect has been my doctor for many years. I have experienced an extremely caring physician. She spends plenty of time with me every visit, very knowledgeable & professional. I would never consider changing doctors.

In 2006 , my wife had doctor Schlecht for the birth of my daughter during a C-section . She cut my wife’s bladder open . My wife almost died . She was plagued with problems for 14 years . Recently she had a hysterectomy just recently and they found that they she still had 2 hernias from where the original cuts from the original surgery in 2006 , and her Uterus was shoved attached to the bladder wall with scare tissue. She was not put back together not correctly . I would not recommend this doctor for C-sections .

This Dr. diagnosed me with endometriosis 9 years ago. She was the first Dr. to perform surgery to remove it and did it wrong but burning it off instead of the correct method of cutting it out. If the disease is burned out it has a very good chance of coming back within moths I later learned. When I went into her office for my scheduled surgery consult she acted like she had no idea why I was there or who I was, I had seen her several times before this. She chose not to tell me anything about this horrific disease or even any symptoms that come with it. DO NOT go to this doctor for endometriosis or anything related to it. My advice to the doctor, if it’s above your skill set and pay grade you should be referring people to another doctor that is capable. Also the staff is beyond rude! No care or consideration. I have no idea how this woman still has a medical license.

I have used Dr. Schlect for several years now. I used to work in OB/GYN myself and found her to be very knowledgeable, kind, and caring. I would highly recommend her.

It was my daughter's first visir ever. Both doc and NP were very insensitive to her need to have me in the room with her comparinf my presence to that of a husband. Not the same folks! Especially if your daughter is 20 and a victim on abuse!! Be more sensetivite for goodness sake. We are all wearing masks... COVID is not a good excuse anymore. Ask questions, maybe learn your patient's needs and our circumstances before making assumptions. We will nit be back!

Dr Kerry is neglecting a lot of important details. I am still upset about her performance on my daughter's surgery. She actually pereferated my daughter's large intestine and she became septic. I hope dr Scleck pay for that and this stayed on her conscious for ever that how much she hurt us my name is andrea

Deplorable treatment of my wife. If you want to see your wife cry her eyes out due to having the misfortunate of dealing with this practice, just go here. They will exceed your expectations.

As women, we can experience a wide array of issues and concerns during any life stage. We need a caring and engaged physician. We need someone who “gets it,” and we need a trusthworthy physician that has our best interests at heart. For these reasons, I would not recommend Kerry Schlecht to any woman. I transferred my care to her during my pregnancy this year. Out of my 4 pregnancies, this is the worse decision I made. Each time, she seemed to meet me for the first time. She knew nothing about me. She had no clue who I was. She asked the same questions (like sex of my baby) each time. Completely disengaged. However, she does remember to ask you to pay a large sum of money as a pre-birth baby delivery deposit. Depending on your insurance, this amount can be several hundred or several thousand dollars. If you do not agree to pay in advance, she will not agree to be on call to deliver your baby. It is quite manipulative, but I paid as required. The problem is when I approached my due… date, I decided that I wanted to deliver at a different hospital with a more engaged provider who actually cared about my birth plan and preferences. That was a very good choice, but that was more than 90 days ago and even though Dr Schlecht did not deliver my baby, she has not returned my baby delivery deposit. Jill, her billing lady, said she wants all of my office visits paid by insurance first. I was patient for the first 45 days, but the problem is her office still hasn’t bothered to properly submit the 4 claims for office visits. Also, she has verified I have active health insurance, so since when do we get our money held hostage for office visits until insurance pays? Unheard of and I never agreed to this arrangement. Unfortunately, and after numerous attempts to contact them recently, her office will no longer return my phone calls or emails. They have completely cut-off all communication. Perhaps they decided keeping my deposit for services not provided is more profitable than properly submitting insurance claims. After all, many doctors do complain about low insurance reimbursements these days. Or maybe Dr Schlecht’s office is doing this for spite since I transferred care away from her practice? I’m not sure, but I certainly think women in North Scottsdale deserve much, much better. Caring for a newborn is difficult enough, and we shouldn’t have to have the added stress of dealing with these types of bad business practices and being taking advantage of by providers who are supposed to care for us.

I suggest you find another gyn as Dr Schlect is very un personal and cannot answers questions Good luck having them fit you in if a situation occurs I had bleeding after menopause which certainly is abnormal and they refused to squeeze me in
