Dr. Kevin Scott Bowman, MD

Dr. Bowman is nice and, I am sure, qualified for simple surgeries. If you have advanced arthritis or any advanced issues - go to a surgeon at New England Baptist Hospital. Sturdy is not an Orthopedic Hospital. 6 months of my life wasted and a botched surgery I desperately needed. My experience was awful.

No stars. A butcher. Terrible job on my 91 year old mother. Surgery failed quickly. Came apart. Then he put a rod in that was an obsolete, corrosion prone metal and failed to notice advanced arthritis in the hip joint. A competent surgeon had to do a total hip replacement. Three major surgeries in a 4 -5 month period for a 91 year old (was 90 at time of surgeries). She still can't walk with the exception of barely walking with walker. Housebound now thanks to Dr. Bowman.

Dr. Bowman did a knee replacement on me. First he explained the wrong type of operation he was going to do. Second he gave me too much oxycodone I was in a black out state for 3 days. Then my medicine for blood clots was too high, when I came home I had the Visiting Nurse come to the house and five minutes later I was in an ambulance on my was back to the hospital. My blood number should have been 2 it was 9! I had knee surgery 6 months ago and I have pain 24 hours a day. What the Doc said was it will take up to a year! Does he think that the pain will magically go away in 6 months??? My last visit to him I had a lump in the back of my knee he stated it was a Bakers Cyst and he didn't know anything about it!!! I went to a pain management clinic and the Dr. there asked why Dr. Bowman didn't remove the cyst. Good question. I'm sure Dr. Bowman has had good results with most of his operations but I'm one of his failures and he won't even listen long enough to help me get back to… a normal life.

Dr. Bowman made me feel comfortable on the very first appointment. I had Avascular Necrosis and he said I would eventually need my Hip replaced. He made me feel so comfortable and assured me I was in good hands. October 23, 2017 I got a new hip. He has the best bed side manners and EXTREMELY patient. I was very scared the day of surgery. Until he came in and saw me right before the procedure and made me feel confident and not to worry. Outstanding doctor. Outstanding person.

Dr. Bowman is an outstanding physician of the highest caliber who exhibits extreme professionalism. He performed surgery on my husband. We were not only impressed with the surgical results but also with Dr. Bowman's bedside manner. My husband's recovery was much shorter than anticipated and Dr. Bowman's post surgery attention to my husband's progress was admirable. We would highly recommend this physician.

I recently had Arthroscopic Meniscus Knee procedure performed by Dr. Kevin Bowman. I can state emphatically, that he is a top notch Doc and Surgeon for sure. From our meeting in his office to the procedure he was a true professional. His skills are what one looks for in a surgeon. I am up and around the next day without pain at all. I highly recommend his office and if you need Orthopedic Treatment or Surgery you will want to visit Dr. Bowman.

The office overbooks,and waiting 35 minutes is typical. I was very dissapointed with this doctor who didn't listen to my concerns. He stated I was fine to return to work which was not accurate. Recently, I have been awarded SSDI, which helps prove my point.

They over book. waited 40 mins. just for them to tell me it was going to be another hour because they were running behind. I tried to re-schedule, they tell me they can't see me for another 5 weeks. (I walked out).
