I needed a new ophthalmologist and my first visit with Dr. Cranmer was comfortable, informative and pleasant. The office staff were pleasant and helpful. i will continue with the practice.

Excellant credentials. Very comprehensive exam. Followed him when he left his East Lyme association. I now see him in his Groton office. Well worth the change in location even though the previous was closer for me. My husband wishes he had done the same. Dr. Cramer is A+.

the workers are ok except i dont care for april she is very rude

going to see dr. cranmer was the best decision of my life. after cataract surgery my vision was perfect. he told me I might need laser treatment after that. well a year went by and I was having trouble driving at night so I figured it was time. after the first eye was done I couldn't wait to go back and have the other eye done. I have 20/20 vision now and everything is crystal clear. I still need reading glasses which he said I would need but that's no big deal. I would recommend the office to anyone needing eye surgery

Dr. Cranmer provided eye care for me when office protocol would have dictated differently. I am from out of town, working in Ct on a travel assignment. Norwich Ophthalmology Group had been recommended to me regarding an ongoing eye infection. I presented myself when the office opened Wed morning. The receptionist was genuinely helpful and pleasant. She spoke with the Doc to see when, in a day that was already fully booked, he could fit me in. Within 5 minutes, I was in an exam room with Dr. Cranmer. He completed a comprehensive exam and diagnosed my condition. I believe in my 56 years, that this was the most pleasant and efficient medical visit I have encountered. The facility is clean and cheerful, and the staff most helpful. Without hesitation, I would recommend Norwich Ophthalmology Group to anyone needing eye care.

Today I had the pleasure of having my first eye exam in over 20 years. I had noticed that I was not seeing as clearly reading as I had in my younger years and felt it was time to make an appointment. I didn't have insurance that would cover this kind of appointment and was concerned about the cost but couldn't put this off any longer. While checking in for my appointment I was asked to fill out paperwork that would include my insurance coverage. I didn't have insurance but was offered a payment plan before I even had the exam. I then proceeded to the waiting room where I spent no more than 5 minutes before I was taken back to an exam room. I was treated very kindly by the medical assistant and then promptly by Dr. Cranmer. I found Dr. Cranmer to be very nice. He did a number of exams and when he finished he told me that my eyes were very healthy and that all I needed was a pair of reading glasses from the drug store. He noticed that I was without insurance and gave me a… generous discount on the cost of visit. I was very pleased that I chose to make this appointment here rather than in one of the box stores in our area. I am certain they would not have offered me a payment plan or advised me to get a pair of reading glasses from a drug store. I will gladly return in two years for my next exam. I highly recommend Dr. Cramner and Norwich Opthamology Group.
