Dr and staff are always helpful and on the ball. Bedside manner is great after my surgery he made sure I wasnt in any pain. His team is great Tasha, Kevin, and Marilyn are great!!

my sister has had two surgery in two years by Dr Gibbons she is still in constant pain and feels that there is something pressing on her nerve in the neck. Dr Gibbons has seen her on multiple occasions and in her option he does not want to take any responsibility for anything gone wrong. She is being told that he has done all he can for her. Other doctors are suggesting a brain scan and other test that may determine the cause of her discomfort but he will not request any of these test. It's almost like no other doctor wants to follow behind the other. the sad part is the patient suffers with daily pain and no resolution in site.

As a competition patient this dr has been very disappointing three surgerys first failed had to have two more for testing he will send you to Dr's of his choice AND YOU WILL GET THE LOWEST POSABLE RATE I HAVE LOST THOUSANDS OF DOLLERS A MONTH FROM THESE DR DR KEVEN GIBBONS IS MORE WORRIED ABOUT HIS IMAGE THEN WHAT HAPPENS TO HIS PATIENTS WITCH MEANS BETTER HE LOOKS AND THE LESS YOU WILL BE COMPENSATED FOR YOUR LOSS ( i do not recommend this dr keven gibbons stay away) my condition after my surgerys is much worse then before my surgery dr gibbons will not fill out paper work for disability does not want his patients going on disability makes him look bad will do every thing in his power to force you back to work i never wanted to be on disability but after three neck surgerys and all the Nerve damage and lose of feeling migraines at least 3_4 times a week going to be very hard to go back to work but with seeing the drs he sent me to see i am being force back

Although I'm sure Dr Gibbons is a fantastic surgeon, and has helped many people, if you think you are actually going to see him, you are wrong. He performed a 3 level acdf on me after I had been misdiagnosed for over a year by another neurologist. I was referred to him immediately by a spine specialist. The first time I went to see him, I actually saw his PA Tasha. She explained what they were seeing on the MRI, ordered new MRIs and wanted to schedule an urgent surgery. Apparently my spinal cord was being deformed. I had been totally unaware. I explained this was all totally new to me and I hadn't had time to be completely briefed on my condition. They assured me there was no way around having surgery and the referring specialist agreed. We scheduled one more preoperative appointment so my husband could meet the surgeon, and we could have some other questions answered. That day, we got there, only to find out we were once again seeing the PA. My husband had taken the day off work,… so we went ahead and saw her. Then I received a call the following week that they had to rescheduley surgery. I was able to schedule one more appointment to actually see Dr Gibbons before the surgery, but my husband wasn't able to make it. Apparently the surgery went great. It was done at Buffalo General where Dr Gibbons is associated. The care in the hospital by the nursing staff was awful. I mean the worst possible care ever. I was throwing up and the pain wasn't controlled. I rang the bell and didn't see an actual nurse for over an hour, and by then I was passed the pain threshold and vomiting while wearing a hard collar and had absolutely no assistance. I couldn't get out of the hospital fast enough. At the follow up appointment with Dr gibbons 2 weeks after surgery, I didn't get to see him either. Once again I saw the PA. I was concerned about the heavy meds I was on and we discussed weaning me. They forgot to mention the drugs I was on, couldn't be called in because they are narcotics. First I was told I shouldn't just stop these meds. I must be weaned off. But I realized too late that I was out of medicine, and couldn't get more. I learned the hard way what withdrawal is all about. All because this medical team doesn't take the time to actually explain things to the patient. I know surgeons aren't great about long term care and bedside manner, but there is a difference between that and completely disregarding and not educating someone about what they are going through. As I said... I'm sure Dr Gibbons is at the top of his league, but the entire team has to be good when we are talking about patients with life changing injuries and spine surgery. If you see Dr Gibbons, be sure to request to actually see HIM and always have someone with you at the hospital and appointments. I felt rushed and disregarded. Good thing his surgical reputation is top notch....

Dr. Gibbons was very short with me did not treat me for my symptoms but what my MRI showed! I had minor Herniations on my MRI!!! Though I could not stand or sit for long periods i was most comfortable Lying down and he put me back to work light duty!!!! In which my employer was going to make me sit at a table for nine hours a day!! instead I chose return full duty and take my chances with my back knowingness Dr. Gibbons office sent me back to work full duty!! Unless you need surgery stayaway from this doctor
