Dr. Kevin Michael Mcgee, MD

My husband has had two shoulder surgeries done by Kevin McGee, MD; the second was much more challenging than the first. Dr. McGee was fabulous both times, from the first appointment through surgery - he took the time in the office visits, was very caring, and he struck us very much as a surgeon at the top of his game. My husband had been misdiagnosed prior to seeing Dr. McGee, but the diagnosis didn't fit the pain pattern. Dr. McGee was quickly able to determine an accurate diagnosis. He did a great surgery both times, and we were thrilled with the outcome each time. We had the second surgery at the surgical center he uses at Pres downtown, and everyone - from the nurses to the anaesthesiologists were spot on! We were very grateful for the care Dr. McGee and his team gave my husband both times.

Dr. McGee was excellent. I had a spiral fracture of my femur. Professional, took time to listen, attentive. Had surgery and had a rod put in my femur. Truthfully I can barely see my scar. I would recommend him to anyone.

His ego makes our a right fit in exam room. He's always right no matter what.you are always wrong.

Mcgee has no business being a doctor. He has no regard for human life or pain and suffering.

Dr. McGee is wonderful. He is a very caring doctor. Having MS things have to be done in a special way. And he did everything to make sure I wouldn't have a MS episode. I was so bless to have Dr.McGee give me my new knee. I had a total knee replacement. I was back cycling in 3. 1/2 months later. and having the other one done soon. He is GREAT, CARING, AND THOUGHFUL. Thank you Dr. McGee. My life is pain free again,

I find Dr. McGee very knowledgeable, he is professional and even charming. His looks do not get him any extra marks from me though! Even though his years may not have given him the experience we all like to look for, he sure knows what he's doing in the surgical room, and by his patient assessments. He seems to listen well and ask of patient their personal input. It is an interactive conversation and therefore a learning opportunity for the patient if so open to it. I always have lots of questions and he is patient even when I can tell things are off schedule in the office he still tries his best to give upmost personal care. On the other hand, I had found opposition from one of his head nurses whom was harsh and almost demeaning in her "roundabout" accusations of my Rx medication addition. I did have some complications after surgery, but not directly from the surgical procedure. I admittedly have a higher tolerance to pain medication than many others. Of many injuries and broken… fingers n toes in the field that one can't do anything with but tape and/or splint, I have spent as long as 18 months in hospital with severe burns and multiple skin grafts. I know pain. I do not like pain. Months of taking pain meds... one will have to detox regardless and it is not easy, but one doesn't need to be treated and ignored like a street drug addict trying to score dope. I began to notice a "distancing" behavior with one of the other nurses (I had really liked) as well. There seemed to be an unspoken message in the office of my being a pain in their side and to have minimal interaction as to keep my questions within the allotted time? Overall, I began to feel uncomfortable. Consequently, one of the reasons I have not pursued further surgery and repair of my ACL (total knee blowout from skiing) is the pain issue, as I have been warned "if you think you were taking a lot of pain medication last procedure... it will be far more through the next one!" I have not been prepared for this... yet, and being that I'm in control of this... I'm sticking to yoga for now.

Dr. Mcgee was wonderful on everything, he has helped me so much. He was incredibly nice and made every situation calm. When he did my surgery, as nervous as I was, he calmed me down and did one wonderful job. I will recondmend him any day, no question about it. His staff got me in for appointments quickly and the next day, I never had to do anything for appointments, the surgery, physical therapy. His staff did it all! It really helped out a lot, they called numerous times as well as Dr. Mcgee to make sure I was still doing okay after surgery and how I was feeling. I think his service was the best service I have recieved in many years!!! Thanks Dr. Mcgee!!!

I wish all doctors were like Dr McGee, caring, professional and knowledgeable. Absolutely the best Doctor! He really cares about his patients.
