Dr. Samuel Kelil Tabet, MD

I highly recommend Dr.Tabet. He is a GREAT doctor. He tells you like it is! No beating around the bush! Good or Bad news. The outcome of my surgery was amazing. 10 years later I still have not needed a knee replacement.

He was not interested in looking at my MRI, an X-ray was all he needed. The surgery took more time than he had extimated, he seemed angry with me that my patella had to be replaced, which he would have known had he checked the MRI. He did a wonderful job on my knee but when I returned later with severe pain in the same knee, he told me there was nothing wrong. I became very ill in addition to the pain & finally returned to him. He curtly dismissed me with a "nothing wrong" again & as my husband & I were leaving, he called out, "It's a tissue issue." Before we figured out exactly what that meant & how to proceed, a friend, a retired orthopedic surgeon, came to me & asked me if i wanted to live or die. If I chose to live, I should go directly to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. I was at Mayo for over 6 months as they strove to save my leg, perhaps my life, from a staph infection. After 4 operations & months of IV antibiotics, I had the 5th. surgery to replace that knee and was… finally able to rerturn home to Albuquerque. It is possible to get a staph infection in any operation in any hospital but why Dr.Tabet chose to disregard the obvious & send me out the door without immediate help is beyond my understanding. I cannot recommend him under any circumstance

I spent 15 years having to watch every step I took afraid of dislocating my knee. I had gone through 4 knee surgeries without any success, until Dr. Tabet. I know it sounds dramatic but it actually gave me my life back. I was to the point that I didn't really care about bedside manner, I just wanted someone to help fix my problem. Lucky for me Dr. Tabet has both. Not enough great things to say about this wonderful doc.
