Dr. Kevin M Moran, MD

Dr. Moran has successfully performed both knee and hip replacement for my husband (age 84) and me (age 77) over the last few years. Recently, he also completed a complicated surgery on my lower back. As the recovery continues, results in pain reduction from pre-surgery status have been both positive and significant. We are very grateful to this skilled surgeon for his professional competence, gentle and conservative approach to each patient, and his amazing orthopedic knowledge and ability. It will truly be a blessed Thanksgiving for my family.

After horrible back pain, my oncologist, Dr Kovitz of MD Anderson, sent me to Dr. Moran. He spent time reviewing my history, explaining my spine issues and 3 compression fractures. I left understanding and with an treatment plan. He was concerned about future fractures and sent me to Dr. Parke, a rheumatologist, to address prevention and future issues. I am still under his care until everything is better. His assistant, Beth, was prompt, compassionate and professional, with assisting in expediting my care from medication to referrals. I am grateful to be on the road to recovery because of this team!!!!

Dr. Moran operated on my lower back, which has too many issues for any surgery to resolve. He performed three laminectomies, then referred me to P/T and steroid injections. I’m now 80 percent better and I hope to improve more with exercise. I feel that Dr. Moran put my health and overall well-being first. Our family recently found Dr. Moran when my husband injured his back and was in horrible pain. They got us in on the same day, imaging was done in office and he was told he would need an MRI. His staff very quickly got him scheduled and he ended up only needing conservative treatment for his issue and is doin terrific. Thank you for helping us and making such a tough time a positive experience.

I lived in pain for years. I couldn't walk 10' without stopping to rest. Dr Moran was recommended by a family Dr. that said he was honest, and wouldn't perform unnecessary surgery. After he read my MRI, he gave me a 95% chance of recovery. The other 5% was arthritis. I am pain free after 3 years now, and owe it all to him.

This doctor does not jump to unnecessary surgeries. You can count on an intelligent opinion and excellent surgical skills. I had great results as did my spouse. I highly recommend him.

Upon meeting Dr. Moran, I was shocked to hear the results that I needed to correct the problem that I was going through. He told me the pleasant as well as the non-pleasant. He left the decision upon me and stated that I could get other opinions and even have another surgeon if that made me feel better. Dr. Moran cared more about my wants than he did his. Dr. Moran completed the successful surgery and I have had no complications since. I applaud him highly.
