Dr Peltier joined Northern Virginia Orthopaedic Specialists in 2006. He graduated with honors from the Georgetown University School of Medicine where he won the award for top Medical student in Orthopaedics. Dr Peltier continued his training at the University of Pittsburgh where he completed his orthopaedic surgery residency and during which time he helped cover football games and cared for a number of high school athletes. He then finished his training with a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder and Elbow surgery at the University of Southern California. There he acted as an assistant team physician for college level athletics including the football and soccer teams. He is board certified in both Orthopaedic Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr Peltier specializes in arthroscopic surgery of shoulder, knee and elbow. His interests include rotator cuff surgery, shoulder stabilization as well as cartilage repair …and ligament reconstruction of the knee. He also performs shoulder reconstruction and replacements for arthritis, fractures and rotator cuff tears. Non-operative and preventive care and exercise is extremely important in his practice for all patients. He also cares for general orthopaedic conditions and most types of fractures. Dr Peltier was listed as one of Washington DC's top doctors in Sports Medicine by Washingtonian Magazine in 2010 and 2014. Dr Peltier has been listed as a Top Doctor in Sports Medicine by Northern Virginia Magazine from 2010-2014. He has presented at national meetings including the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He has provided continuing medical education and public education seminars in Prince William county. Currently he is acting as the team physician for Patriot High School. Dr Peltier lives locally with his wife and two children. He is an avid golfer and Red Sox fan. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. Dr Peltier is accepting new patients at the NVOS offices in Manassas and Haymarket and currently has hospital privileges at Haymarket Medical Center in Haymarket, VA and Prince William Medical Center in Manassas,VA.

Dr. Peltier is an excellent surgeon! He has performed 2 rotator cuff surgeries on me. He also a treated me for a shattered clavicle which he pieced back together and has healed perfectly! He will always be my go-to surgeon whenever I need work done. I can't recommend him enough!!

Dr. Peltier is the best orthopedist you'll ever meet. His friendly manner, incredible knowledge and amazing surgical skills make him the only rational choice if you're looking for an orthopedic specialist.

Good guy, worried about CYA regarding insurance and admission of pain medication. I went for shoulder problem , excruciating pain. He reccomended an MRI and did nothing for he pain!

Dr. Peltier was a true professional, he took the time to explain what was wrong with my knee and what steps he thought were the best for me going forward with respect to quality of life issues. I must say that a second opinion was in EXACT agreement with Dr. Peltier. I absolutely recommend him without reservation....a GREAT Doctor!!

This Doctor was OUTSTANDING!! The visit started with a GREAT front desk staff and then the Doctor ordered X-rays which went quick and seamless. The doctor then saw me quickly and diagnosed the issue with my right knee. The key was the way the whole team worked in unison toward patient needs. Doctor Peltier was very straight forward and addressed all my questions and options in a manner that was not rushed as it took all the time needed to discuss options and treatments. Other doctors should take a note from Dr. Peltier and his staff.....OUTSTANDING experience........For sure recommend A+.

Dr. Peltier did a fantastic job of repairing my right shoulder rotator cuff, in which 2 of 4 rotator muscles were torn and one was detached from the bone (weight-lifting injuries). I was back lifting weights sooner than expected, making a full recovery. Dr. Peltier kept me educated and informed throughout the entire process explaining the details of the injury and showing photos of how he made the repairs. Dr Peltier also has an excellent bedside manner and is very easy to talk to, always answering all my questions in detail.
