Dr Shandera is friendly, personable and easy to talk with. He listens and gives advice and I had no problem addressing my issues when I saw him. He gave me a detailed urology- pelvic examination which included urine culture results right away. I am glad to have him as one of my physicians @Eisenhower. His office staff attentive, ask questions to help make visit with doctor valuable and they are compassionate to your needs.

I went to see Dr. Shandera after visiting the other Urology clinic in the valley. And the reason I came to see Dr. Shandera was that I did not feel comfortable being in the hands of the other urologist. From the first time I met him, he has always been extremely professional, friendly and very polite. He is a good listener which is not always a quality you find in many a doctors today. He explained everything to me, offered me various options. He let me know what he would recommend but ultimately the choice was mine. I opted for the GreenLight Laser Therapy. It went very smoothly and I am ecstatic with the results. I cannot imagine how any other urologist could have done better. I will always be indebted to him.

Amazing experience with Dr Shandera treating my cycstocele. I am 2 days out of surgery, no pain, and I can stop peeing after I start! Haven't been able to do that in years. Healing so fast. Dr Shandera is very kind, gentle, and I found him humorous, he answered all my questions in a way I could understand. I had a postop question in the evening and his service got him on the phone immediately, I didn't even have to wait for him to call back. I highly recommend him for female urinary problems.

If you want an arrogant doctor who does not listen to you, pick this guy. He will dismiss anything you say and will make fun of your research. He figures you got your information from Google and figures that you know less then he because he is a urologist. He specializes in female urology. I wanted to see about Urolift. He doesn't like it, feels it is the least effective treatment for BPH but did not tell me why.

Explained the procedure and what we were looking for. I was able to view the procedure on the computer screen and Dr. Shandera explained what I was viewing. Suggested the best treatment for my case.
