Dr. Bobby Simon Alexander, MD

The doctor is fine. It is his nurses staff and support staff that just dropped the ball constantly never return calls always when you call there goes to voicemail they seem lazy. The doctor sends me for an MRI to see if I have cancer The following week I call every day to see if I could get an answer to do I have cancer or not finally Monday of the following week I got a call and they tell me that I could make an appointment with him in August (It is now mid July) to discuss any diagnosis. Who makes their patients wait a month to discuss a cancer diagnosis???? The staff doesn’t get it they seem to think that it was normal to wait a month to discuss with the doctor whether you have cancer one star they suck stay away.

Dr. Bobby Alexander is an outstanding urologist and human being. We are very lucky to have him here in the desert.

The care I received was great!!! I was treated for a blocked urethra caused by an enlarged prostate. I had a TURP surgery performed by Dr. Alexander and I don't think I could of had a better Dr. The staff were very busy but answered any questions I had. Reading some of the these reviews, I'd question them, because the care and service, I received was the best.

I arrived at Bobby Alexander’s Urology practice at for a 1:30 appt. I was told by the desk assistant that prior to my exam I should pee in a cup for my urinalysis. I was led to the bathroom and directed to use a small paper cup in the corner of the bathroom on a tray. I was surprised and asked if I heard her right - she said “Yes, that’s what I’ve been told to have people do.” I said ok and reached for the paper cup (like a small dixi cup next to a Sharpie) and saw that it already had someone else’s cold urine in it. It had just been sitting there. I corralled the office staff and let them know how much of a no-no this was, how it made me feel an erosion of trust in the medical competence of the practice - I canceled my appointment and do not plan to return. There's no way urine samples are being processed professionally at Bobby's practice.

WORST MOST SELF CENTERED MD THAT IS NOT TRULY DISABLED

Had hard time making an appointment and long wait for follow up appointment. After procedure called five times to make the required follow up appointment and finally gave up. Found another doctor which is very unfortunate because I liked Dr Alexander. Worst office staff I’ve ever encountered.

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND DOCTOR ALEXANDER. HE CARES ABOUT HIS PATIENTS AND IS VERY THOROUG WITH HIS EXPLANATIONS AND WHAT TO EXPECT. I TRUST HIM COMPLETELY.

I support the comment that the telephone wait time is ubsurd. 20 minutes easy No music or service telling you your # in the wait line- Not a great way to get aquianted with a potential new doctor

I was referred to dr bobby Alexander by my physician. The phone calls to his staff were always a nightmare. Each time I phoned, they would put me on hold for at least 20 Minutes. There were two occasions where they just never came back on the line at all. Dr Alexander was o.k. He solved my issue but I felt he was “milking” the situation with more tests than necessary. If you pay your co-pay with a credit card they charge a $2 service fee. I would never pay cash to a doctor for services rendered; if you lose that receipt, it could potentially be a big problem. My last visit to dr Alexander was to get results for a test done by his office in a different location. When I arrived they did not have the tests. I had to wait an addl 25 minutes for the results. They weren’t there and the paperwork if the results needed to be faxed (not emailed; they don’t have that technology at his office). I never went back to dr Alexander after that.

Dr. Alexander is a knowledgeable and caring doctor. He even noticed when I changed my hair color which took me by surprise because often doctors treat their patients as a number rather than an individual. I appreciate the human factor. I highly recommend Dr. Bobby Alexander. He's great.
