Dr. Michael Adam Sanford, MD

I am a 71 year old cancer patient (prostate). I had to wait three months for my appointment today at 2:30. Eisenhower Hospital campus is a huge facility with many buildings. The Hirshberg building, where Dr. Sanford is located, is one of many and there are no signs I could find with the building listed. I arrived at Eisenhower at 2:25, drove around looking for the building till 2:34and then called his office for help. I could not get through to the office on the phone, except to leave messages. I finally chose the make an appointment and got through to a live person at 2:37, and she directed me to the building. I went to the building and parked, and found his office. By this time it was 2:45. I stood in line while the couple in front of me were helped. I got to the counter by 2:46 and were told I was past the 15 minute limit for being late for an appointment and was refused service with no recourse but to reschedule. Nowhere in the registration and appointment procedure is the 15… minute late limit told to the patient. The doctor himself apparently made the decision. I would like to recommend that this office provide a map of the facility with the location of the office clearly marked, and with the 15 minute policy explained. I can not recommend this doctor until his front office is run better, and the doctor develops empathy for the cancer patient. A horrible experience.

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Dr. Sanford refused to provide definite information after the condition, insisting I make my own decision after everything from biopsies to treatment without providing a bit of advice. Just a lot of sarcasm, something not needed when you're faced with this diagnosis. I'd suggest you search for another doctor who is capable of empathy and who communicates a lot better than this jerk.

Dr. Sanford is a caring and very competent physician. I am glad that he is my urologist.

I am a physician with a prostate problem and I was not satisfied with my previous urologist and his office. I saw Dr. Sanford who did a very thorough evaluation and expalined my treatment options. overall, I was very satisfied with Dr. Sanford and his office staff.

Michael's Parents are both Mds and good but Michael is the WORST as you can see by his reviews. Do NOT waste time with this BOZO !!!

My father who is 86 has gone to him for years. After being diagnosed with a UTI which turned out to be MRSA, my father went to the emergency room and was admitted to the hospital for a week. It took Dr Sanford 5 days to come to the hospital and his office is on campus. My father is heartbroken that this doctor could care less about him. He overschedules his office visits and cancels or make you wait forever. His front desk girl is a twit and extremely rude. Do not go to this doctor..

I would NOT EVER go to this DR. He is all about the MONEY. I originally went in to get a prescription filled, and the first thing they wanted to know was if I had insurance. Said yes, they said come on in. Made an appt., went in, and the first thing he did was wanted to do a bunch of tests, PSA, and others. Told him all I needed was to get a prescription filled, since we were from out of town and not near our regular doctor. When we went to pick up prescription, receptionist called me and said we need to make another appt. Told him we didn't need another one, just to fill this prescription. We picked up the first prescription, and when we went to pick up the other prescription, was told we couldn't till we went in to see him. Told him he had just seen me, and was told he had cancelled my second prescription because I wouldn't go back to see him to give him more money. He also thought that a rectal exam was a good idea. Told him I have had loose stools for the last 2 days..HE… DIDN'T CARE...check me and made me bleed like a stuck pig..He has no empathy for anyone and is only in it for the money.....Specialist???I don't think so. Greedy is what he is.

Very rushed and seemed to he in a hurry. Bedside manner was rude and did not make me feel comfortable in an already uncomfortable situation. Receptionist was rude and disrespectful, canceled my follow up.

Do not recomend this Dr. No follow up and left town after my surgery without even a word. Had to go to emergency. Spends no time with patient. Very abrupt and not kind at all. Poor bedside manner.
