Dr. Khashayar Dashtipour, MD

I was referred by my doctor to see Dr Dashtipour a neurologist it took approx 6 weeks to get in to be seen only to have his office call me the morning of the appointment to cancel with me leaving no explanation as of why. I called and made another appointment which took me another 6 weeks to get in to see him & they called & cancelled on me again the morning of the appointment, again with no explanation. I live over an hour away & had to turn around both times. Extremely Discourteous not to mention a waste of my time! Now I not only have to wait to get another referral it will probably take another 6 weeks to be seen & find a doctor who's staff has the ability to run an office correctly & treat their patients with respect. I will not be making a 3rd appointment with this doctors office. I have no idea if the doctor is any good due to the fact I was unable to be seen due to incompetent staff. Congrats,You just lost a new patient! If I could give them a zero I would. My time & diagnosis… is important to me to have done in a timely manner which is obviously something that is not important to this office! Too bad he looks like he would be really good!

Dr. Dashtipoor seems more interested in representing drug companies than in his patients welfare.

I recently accompanied my wife who has had Parkinsons for about 10 years on her visit to Dr. Dashtipour for a second opinion and was pleasantly surprised. This doctor is very in depth in his questioning and observations and leaves a sense of seeing the best doctor you could find, which I believe he is. He suggested some changes in medication based upon my concerns expressed and his follow-up detailed questions which helped him clarify my wives condition and some of her medicine impacts on other areas. I thought we had been seeing the best doctor for Parkinsons before our visit with him but obviously we had not. He exudes confidence and understanding that I had not seen before. He is not a huggy-hold hand type of doctor but he is pleasant and quite knowledgeable. I would recommend him for a second opinion and for your regular neurologist for Parkinsons as we are.
