Dr. Shahlaie is a great doctor, i wouldn't trust anyone else inside my brain. He has a great bedside manner and will answer any question no matter how stupid it may seem.

Dr. Shahlaie and his team performed menogeoma brain tumor surgery on me and they were so fantastic, I was released the following day.I feel fabulous! No pain! No side effects! Dr. KIa Shahlaie and his team are by far the most incredible team of caring, precise, neurosurgeons. I highly recommend UCDavis, Dr. Shahlaie, his team. I was scared, but Dr. Shahlaie set my mind at ease and answered all my questions. From the front office gals to the surgical team, they are the BEST. Dr. Shahlaie is a rare breed among doctors. Not only is he top of his peers in experience, knowledge and technique, but he has compassion and explains everything so well all while taking excellent care of his patients. I went from being diagnosed with a brain tumor to full surgery in less than 3 weeks. A scary experience to say the least! But thank goodness I was referred to Dr. Shahlaie! He got all of my tumor all while using minimally invasive cutting edge techniques. He was very warm and friendly, but also super professional. I wish he could be my doctor for all of my health challenges. You're in great hands with him. Let him ease your fears and take good care of you.

Dr. Shahlaie was extremely compassionate and professional throughout the whole process. He made sure that we were educated about the surgical plan and went above and beyond in making sure that we were receiving high quality care. His skill and determination in removing my husband’s tumor provided me with comfort in knowing that we had someone on our side. He returned all of our calls and answered our questions promptly. He was very responsive!

I have had a long series of bad doctor experiences and Dr. Shalaie made me feel safe and secure from the beginning. He went beyond what most doctors do and he LISTENED to me, and gave me better treatment than I imagined possible. I talked to a LOT of the people who work with him and every one had high respect and admiration for him. They inspired the title of this review because this is their genuine opinion of him, and I agree fully.

Very thorough but not overly complicated for his non medical patients.
