Dr. Kimberly Ann Holland, MD

Like the others who have written reviews, I too, have seen Dr. H. for a number of years. She does embody all of the attributes mentioned. As with partners who work together, we don't always agree. However, her opinions, recommendations, and prescriptions have made my life much more satisfying than the other MD's I have used. (And, that includes Stanford.) She has been willing to try different meds, while the others did not. She has an open mind and, for the most part, she thinks outside of the box. My encouragement to her would be that she not be afraid to read articles outside the mainstream psychiatric resources and be willing to at least discuss them. The psychiatry profession works largely by trial, error and personal familiarity, whereas other specialities can refer also to studies and end results based upon concrete/scientific evidence. When asked, she will make general comments about phytonutrients, vitamins, etc and alternative meds if she does have any… knowledge. And, she will point out her reservations. An exceptional woman and practitioner. She also works with very good psychologists.

I have been seeing Dr. Holland since 1993. I have seen doctors and therapists all of my life and since 1977 and have been very disappointed since that time and have been misdiagnosed until I saw Dr. Holland. I did not have to finish my sentence with her when she totally understood what I was trying to say and I knew I found the right doctor. She has been my miracle worker ever since that day and has been a blessing to me ever since. She has changed my life and has help me tremendously and we’ve both been on a path of discovery and growth together . She has been the most compassionate and generous and kind doctor I’ve ever known in my life. I started with her when I was in my early 30s and now I’m in my early 60s. I don’t know what I would’ve done without her in all these years. She has been the only one who has listened to me and has believed me and letting me vent and cry and tell the truth without judging me. She convinced me to take time off work when I thought I never could and… always gave me great advice to take care of myself. She took me off medication when I didn’t need it and always took care of me when I could not take care of myself . she has had great patience with me and I only have great things to say about her without getting too personal. I put my life and trust in this woman who has believed in me and I believe in her and she’s helped me make very difficult decisions for myself and I can only say great things about this wonderful marvelous doctor that I can never say about anyone else. And I can honestly say because I have worked with her before she had her own practice that I love her dearly and she truly cares about her patients and wants the best for them and does not dole out drugs like other doctors do and she will not give an addict addicting drugs to make them worse. she will continue to try to make people better not worse. I obviously cannot say enough good things about her. I don’t know what I would do without her.

Seen her for over 20 years. She's very knowledgeable about treating difficult cases of depression and has been wonderful to work with.

I owe Dr. Holland my life! Having grown up with a mother who was a borderline personality, narcisistic, paranoid, depressive I had a lot to overcome, and Dr. Holland was my rock and my stability during times of severe depression. She is knowledgeable, compassionate and caring, and I always felt she knew what was necessary on my road to release the pain of my childhood and reprogram me on the road to health and happiness. She held my hand and helped me work through difficult issues and was so important to me. I never would have survived without her help. I heartily recommend her to anyone that is seeking an excellent doctor!

She has been my doctor for many years. She does not prescribe unneeded medication, and will not cater to pill poppers. She prescribes what you need, and that is good for me since I am an addict.She listens and is caring and compassionate. She understands my needs and accommodates them.
