Summary
I am originally from Texas but moved to Oregon in 1999 because I could just not take another 100+ degree summer day and fell in love with the beauty of Portland, when I visited back in 1998. I love all the bike and hiking trails and I love the Portland summers and the amazing fall colors.
I have three children including two teenagers and love working with children. I had initially planned on going into psychiatry, but when I worked in pediatrics I found it highly rewarding caring for children and seeing them get better.
It is a great pleasure watching the children I work with grow up, and I feel like a part of their family.
About my practice
I work in a very small clinic which I love because I feel like the Kaiser Permanente Division Clinic has a "small town" feel to it. Not only do I know my own patients well, but I have also gotten to know my colleague's patients well too, which makes covering for them much easier.
I have a particular interest in asthma and allergies, as I too …suffer from these conditions. I have a relaxed and playful approach which works well with children. I feel often that less is more in treating children which means using medications only when they are felt to be absolutely necessary. How I thrive
I thrive by having a great sense of humor and try to make work fun. I work in pediatrics because I am a kid at heart. I love taking my German shepherd with me when I ride my bike and find these morning bike rides help clear my thoughts.
I also am very involved in my saltwater fish hobby and find just looking at the aquarium and spending time in the hobby very fun and relaxing. I handle stress very well and always try to find the positives out of life and do not focus on the negatives.

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews
Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.
Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.
Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
