Dr. Kirk Kollmann graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry and received his pediatric dental degree from Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. Keeping with his hospital background, he is a clinical instructor and volunteers his time working with the Cleft Palate - Craniofacial Team at Children's Memorial Hospital. He serves as a spokesperson for the Chicago Dental Society and is involved in various aspects of organized dentistry. He loves to be the do-it-yourself craftsman, being proficient in electricity, carpentry, woodworking, plumbing, etc. Computers and gadgets are another one of his hobbies. He holds great respect for his partners, Dr. Berman and Dr. Furusho.

Berman
Dr. Marvin Berman has been a pediatric dentist for more than four decades. He serves on the Council of Dental Practice and is a Consumer Advisor …for the American Dental Association as well as a spokesman for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a renowned Lecturer and shares his expertise at dental meetings throughout the world. He has published numerous articles and his instructional videotapes are part of the curriculum of many dental schools. Music and theater are his other passions but he's particularly proud of his wife Joyce and their four children and seven grandchildren. Dr. Berman is grateful for the professional and personal relationship he has nurtured with Dr. Kollmann and Dr. Furusho.

Marisela
Marisela, our office manager, is celebrating 15 years with Dentistry For Kids and she is the person that makes certain that the office operates as smoothly as possible. Bilingual in Spanish and English. She is happily married to her husband, Mike and they are proud of their children Bianca and Isaac. The family enjoys bike riding, movies and spending time with their dog, Libby. Marisela volunteers at her children's schools and is actively involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Christine
Christine, for the past 10 years has worked as a dental assistant and most recently is one of the stalwarts that we rely upon at the front desk. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Northeastern Illinois University. Her intelligence and great sense of humor create a distinctly "up" mood for the entire office. In her "away" time she and her husband, Jon, are enjoying the renovation of their 100 year old house and spending time with their doggies Callie and Jetta. Christine also volunteers at PAWS, Chicago.
Joanna
Joanna just recently became a member of our team. She brings a fresh sense of energy and enthusiasm and she will be a giant asset for us since she is articulate in both Polish and English. She is very family oriented and her best friend is her brother Arthur. Joanna is looking forward to meeting everyone or as she says in Polish . . . Do Zobaczenia!!!
Melisa
Melisa has been an important member of our staff for 4 years while completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration at DePaul University. Her exuberant smile and energetic work ethic makes her invaluable to us. Melisa is especially proud of her Bosnian heritage. She enjoys her wonderful family relationships and is an enthusiastic world traveler.
Karen
Karen, our most senior expanded function dental assistant, has been a mainstay for Dentistry for Kids for more than 12 years. She successfully completed her certification in coronal polishing and sealant placement. Her responsibilities range from assisting the doctors with patient treatment and supervising the other assistants to being the chief equipment mechanic and supply co-ordinator. She is especially adept at relating to the younger, more apprehensive and reluctant child patients . . . focused on making the dental visit as much fun as possible. When she is not on duty at the office she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, Travis, and her children
