Very good for Prenatal care and childbirth.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. McDaniel for 13 years. I feel like she is one of the only doctors that actually listen to what I’m saying and not brush my symptoms under the rug. I had preeclampsia with my pregnancy and I felt like she truly cared and her #1 priority was keeping me safe while making sure my baby was healthy. Sometimes, I may have to wait a little bit at my doctors appointment, but I’m completely ok with that. I feel like waiting at an appointment would be inevitable with any obgyn doctor due to their line of work. She is professional and personable which makes it easy to talk to her about my concerns. She is extremely thorough with her exams and gives informative answers to my questions. I would definitely recommend her to any woman needing a doctor.

I’m 35 years old. I’ve been a patient of Dr. McDaniel for 11 years. She recommended I undergo an exploratory laparoscopy when I was 24 to confirm/rule out endometriosis. The outpatient surgery went very well, I recovered quickly, & most of my menstrual pain issues resolved. The effects on my infertility issues were unknown, as I wasn’t trying to get pregnant at the time. Since then, I’ve successfully gotten pregnant twice, & Dr. McDaniel delivered my son. Many awful stories are tossed around about the burning sensations & pain of those first few days postpartum, esp. if you tear during vaginal delivery. I had average tearing, & Dr. McDaniel’s stitching was incredible- I healed quickly & experienced NO (zero) pain or burning sensations from the tears. I recently had reason to undergo a LEEP procedure, where a tiny electrically-charged wire loop is used by the surgeon to remove precancerous cells from the cervix. Dr. McDaniel & her PA have been personally monitoring my abnormal pap… smears for a few years now, & things developed to where I needed this procedure. I was advised that I may have pain, cramps, some discharge, etc. in the days following. Not only did I have NO (zero) pain, I also experienced zero *discomfort* the days following the procedure. I joked with my husband that all these procedures were probably just “placebos” because my recoveries seemed so easy & painless! After 11 years & enough gynecological issues, I’m so grateful to have been under the watch & care of such a knowledgeable & skilled doctor as Kirsten McDaniel. Ratings of doctors are based not only on patient experiences, but also on patient values & tolerances. Since I had (have?) so many conditions that required surgery of sorts, I valued skilled hands that allowed for minimal pain, correcting the problem, & quick recovery. Dr. McDaniel’s expertise & surgical skills will take care of you. The nurses in her office are great, love those ladies!, but there have also been a few who haven’t fit in/weren’t the most personable. The scheduling isn’t always perfect- sometimes there’s cancelations & rescheduling. Also sometimes, they bump other things to make YOU a priority, as was done in the scheduling of one of my procedures. The office has human errors, just like any place you’d go where humans work. Dr. McDaniel is human: she gets sick, has a family, deserves vacations. After 11 years as a patient here, any office “issues” I’ve experienced were so few & far between, they really can’t be representative of this practice. What IS representative are the opinions of long-term patients, those who’ve needed Dr. McDaniel’s knowledge, expertise, & skills the most. I hope I represent the quality of this practice with my review, but if nothing else, I represent my full satisfaction & heartfelt gratefulness for how Dr. McDaniel has made my life better. In a nutshell, I have a child because of her & will likely never develop, much less die of, cervical cancer because of her. All wins to me. ????

Probably one of the worst doctor’s and office staff I have ever experienced. The office has to cancel/move appointments all of the time, with little to no advanced notice. Then I’m told the doctor is out of town and is never available when I go into the office, which was a lie because I showed up and got to see the doctor. Then they ran additional testing without my approval, which resulted in 4-5 different medical claims being filed against my insurance company. I was there for my basic well women’s visit, which should have been covered at 100%. I have never had any issues prior years and it is the same insurance. Also, they claim to have completed blood work and cultures on me, which was also a lie and never done. After spending weeks fighting with their office I have outstanding bills for tests that were not performed at all and tests that were not approved. I approved a basic PAP was all. Their billing lady Terry is very rude and unprofessional. I advise going to another office and… steering clear of this place and their medical fraud they are trying to pull.

Dr McDaniel took over Dr Pearl's practice so if you know Dr Pearl you know I have been seeing Sr McDaniel many years . She is wonderful and always takes time to answer all my questions and get my feedback. I recently lost my Mom and during my appointment I was very emotional. She just let me talk. She is a wonderful doctor

Have been going to her for many years and she is a caring, compassionate, and intuitive Doctor. I'm sorry but I do not believe any of the negative reviews about her on this site. Dr McDaniel saved my sisters life, took care of my whole person not just my gyn needs, and her staff is personable. In all the years I've been going to her have I ever experienced anything but professionalism and compassion. She is as gental as she is kind. I would recommend her to every woman I know and have referred my daughters to her.

I called Dr. McDaniel's office after I found out I was pregnant. My original OB was beyond frustrating so I was looking for a new doctor. WOW, all throughout my pregnancy I always felt like I was the only pregnant person they had talked to all day. The staff was genuinely interested in my baby, asking questions and asking to see ultrasound pics. Being a first time mom, I was extremely nervous and had a TON of questions throughout my 9 months. They never made me feel stupid or like I was over-reacting. I really like the option of seeing Marci (the nurse practitioner) if the Dr. McDaniel is running behind. I actually had Postpartum depression and Marci squeezed me in the day I called her. I am currently having an issue with my insurance and Terri has been a huge help also. I'm surprised to see negative reviews because each staff member has continually gone above and beyond for me!

Unfortunately could not recommend this doctor. Reasons are numerous.

The worst doctors office I've ever been to! Doctor is very cold, horrible bedside mannor, and is apparent that she is not fond of your other children. Front office staff is rude and unknowledgable. Office is extremely unprofessional. If you would like to share the gender ultrasound with anyone: stay away. Absolutely, no children (not even my 2 year old daughter) plus asked if my mom could come in and they told me only if my husband left the room. I asked why my daughter could not come in with me. They told me that one child gave the "tech" (which the doc is the only one qualified to perform the ultrasound) a "wet willy" so no more children are allowed! Bad experience after bad experience! Left after my 4th month. Five months later.. office staff calls and harrasing my household. Calls claming my sister is a liar and says that she is me then tries to talk to her about insurance issues! Called multiple times within mins. My sister was watching my children for me while I went to… work and I had left my cell with her for any emergency. Cold, unproffesional, not family friendly. I still cannot understand how the doctor delivers babies but once they are a little older they are no longer welcomed in the office : (

She was my OB/GYN for 7 years(then I moved.) She is also my almost 60 year old mothers OB/GYN. She delivered both of my children, both were high risk. She is very intelligent and makes sure to know everything possible pertaining to the medical condition and needs of her patients. She also makes sure you are well informed on what is going on with you (babies, menopause, problems, wellness, whatever your specific case is) Her bedside manner is perfection! If there is a problem, she makes sure you know all of your options and lets you make you choice. The heath and wellness of her patients is her #1 priority.Someone else commented on her office staff. I had some issues with one person that worked there, very rude and demeaning, this person NO LONGER WORKS THERE. And i think everyone else in the office staff (Nurse included) are fantastic. Polite, professional, welcoming, understanding. Simply Amazing.
