Dr. Constantine Sarantopoulos, MD

Dr. Sarantopoulos was thorough and quite helpful. The office staff are unhelpful and do not return calls. I was fraudulently billed an amount that we have been unable to resolve, as I cannot seem to get anyone on the phone with the authority to review my situation. Several months ago I was informed by Laura, an office manager, that the charge was incorrectly billed. She then quit returning my calls and never assisted me with getting the reimbursement. Laura, as well as other office staff, stated they would call me back with updates, but they never have. When speaking with Michelle regarding the next steps, given the issue has been ongoing for eight months, Michelle stated she is “not the person for me to vent to.” I was not venting, I was attempting to resolve an issue created by their office. Completely unprofessional. Furthermore, Michelle refused to provide me with any email addresses to try to resolve this matter in a less time consuming manner, as the majority of the time… when I call their office, I am placed on hold for 20-40 minutes. Michelle attributed the refusal to provide any email addresses for staff to HIPPA guidelines. I am unsure if this is an accurate statement pertaining to HIPPA. After eight months, I have no choice but to go to consumer affairs.
