Dr. Krishna Ravi Cidambi, MD

The best knee replacement doctor anywhere. He is extremely knowledgeable, and is highly regarded by all therapists and nurses who work with him. I found both Dr. Cidambi and his staff, specifically his PA Drew, to be caring, compassionate, thorough, and did an excellent job on my knee replacement surgery.

I wanted to thank Dr. Krishna Cidambi for fixing my chronic hip pain and for the great care I received from the staff at UCSD. Dr. Cidambi showed his professionalism, innovativeness, and thoroughness in explaining my condition [hip dysplasia] at a level that my husband and I could understand. I am a 54 year old female and was in so much pain. I did not know how I could live out my days being in constant pain and discomfort. I feel so much better now and can't wait to get my second side done later this year.

For several years I have endured severe arthritis and constant pain in my right upper leg. In 2017 an orthopedic doctor convinced me I was close to being a wheelchair cripple. This prediction persuaded me to risk a hip replacement in spite of my age of 89. While waiting for surgery, I researched the subject with friends and medical sources, discovering there are alternative surgical methods and this widespread surgery has technically advanced in recent years. My research led me to UCSD and a doctor practicing the anterior approach and using the most advanced surgical procedures. I met with Dr. Krishna Cidambi twice finding him to be honest, direct, and knowledgable. I climbed the stairs in my two story home the day I was released. By the end of the first month I had full use of the leg with zero pain. As I approach ninety, I am totally satisfied with my selection of my youthful and modern surgeon and the high quality procedures he used.

It is almost two day since I underwent a complete hip replacement. Thanks to the great skills of Doctor Cidambi, I have been home for over a day. His bed side visits (Pre & Post) were thoughtful, informative and very comforting. I should add that he shared this respectful demeanor with the great staff that attended to me. As expected the staff, to a person, gave him High accolades 'for bed side manner, communication and surgical skills. Although unavailable, he deserves a six star rating.
