If I could give Dr Jessen a zero I would! This has been the worst Doctor I have ever seen. She is rude, un Personal with patients. I was referred to Palouse neurology for seizures and migraines only to be told she doesn't do seizures and for me to go to a counselor. She says she is not in favor of prescriptions and the turns around and wants me to take name brand prescriptions and purchase several other high priced items. She also did not want to hear anything from my husband about what he has seen and his concerns. I have traveled 2 hours to get to my appointment, time, gas and visit bill all for a complete waste to me!

This was the nastiest visit I have ever had. I agree with the above reviews that describe her as demeaning; her manner was inconsiderate, impatient, callous, intimidating. She refused to go over my past medical history, telling me that all of it was baseless and that to obtain a diagnosis I needed to start from scratch! She barely gave our questions time of day. I came to her suffering from acute ataxia and as part of the test she requested for me to stand up unassisted (which I hadn't been able to do for weeks!) After insisting for some time that I was able to stand and I still unable to rise to my feet, she dismissed the whole "test" with great impatience and a very rude "whatever". She showed no interest, no compassion, gave a very brief exam, was openly irritated by my disability and repeatedly criticized the way I was describing my problems. At the end of the visit, she basically told me 'it was all in my head'. Very frustrating and hurtful. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE!

I went for a nerve conduction test and she actually laughed out loud at my pain. Abusive and abrasive. Don't go to her for anything.

Just wants to push pills. If your over 80 she'll take your freedom if your under she'll take your sanity. I went for a sleep study just to renew my CPap script and she tried to insist I start a regimen of mood altering drugs, NO WAY. Then my mom gets stuck going to her and my mom is sharp, still gardens, drives, helps seniors, sews, reads, plays games, very active and healthy and this wack job dr tries to take her drivers license away. Im grateful she failed, my mom was in tears and quite upset that anyone would consider less than able. Stay away form this one folks. Small town doc for a reason.

I would Travel to Anchorage in a snow storm before ever taking my disabled client here again!!!!!! Her receptionist F.S. is a trip also.

This is the worst experience I've ever had with ANY doctor. I felt belittled and she would often raise her voice and throw her papers on the desk, rolling her eyes at me and sighing. For example she wanted me to describe what happens before I get a migraine and that I get an aura much like a kaleidoscope in patchy areas of my vision. She raised her voice at me about 5 times on this question alone telling me my answer was not a valid medical term. She named a few descriptions I could choose from in order to fulfil what she thought was a "valid answer" one of them being the "hebegebies". I asked her if that was even a medical term and she raised her voice again saying, "just answer the question! You're not telling me what I'm asking!" The way that she was asking all these questions almost caused me to cry in front of her. I cannot believe how she talked to me.

Very thorough and professional. Easy to understand. Took extra time to show tests from a hospital visit that hadn't been explained before.

I read some of the reviews on here about Dr. Jessen and was very upset. I worked for her for almost a year when she was in Missouri and I found that she was one of the smartest and best doctors that I have ever worked for. I was at her wedding ceremony when she married her husband and actually had met him as well. The saddest day of my life was when she left the practice that we worked for. She is a very caring doctor and doesn't give up on finding a diagnosis for her patients. She is amazing!

The bed side manner and compassion of a snapping turtle. Will not listen or allow you to explain. She made me feel like I was wasting her time.
