Dr. Kristin Lynn Hanson

Upon my first meeting of Dr. Hanson she gave off a very good vibe, in my consultation with her I was very surprised that she was already caught up on my medical history and background. She explained her health plan for me and gave me the clearest explanation of my health situation than any of the three previous specialists had been too. She was initially a researcher in the field of endocrinology so she has an abundance of knowledge in the field. At first she comes of a little eccentric but with that comes a sincere feeling she cares for patients and their overall well being. Like I said in the beginning, Awesome Endocrinologist!

I know why her reviews all over the place. When she is coherent (on her meds or off drugs, don't know which) she is extremely knowledgeable. However, other times she doesn't seem to remember she is supposed to be doctoring. She goes on long diatribes about her mother, her brother, how he stole money from her, she is 60 years old and broke, etc. She doesn't get along with others, and is moving again because she has alienated so many of the staff at her current location. It is almost impossible to get a prescription right the first time, or often the second or third. She blames the staff, but we have found more than once that she was the culprit. She did not practice for a couple years before this last office. I wouldn't be going out on much of a limb to say it was likely mental health issues. No, I am not a doctor, but I am a licensed social worker trained to recognize these things.

Amazing Knowledge and so willing to let her patient share it in relation to our health issues, Dr. Hanson is the best Endocrinologyst I have ever met, in 43 yrs with Diabetis I have seen quite a few but only her sat with me to explain how insulin works in the system to improve my A1c and the Carbohydrates ratio to the units to take etc etc, needles to say how much better I feel now that I got the know how from This great and patient Dr. Thanks Dr. Hanson!!

My first appointment with this Endocrinologist and I am in awe of her knowledge and her bedside manner. This is the first doctor to explain my diabetes in such a detailed way. It wasn't just a conversation about blood sugar readings and medication. It was a conversation that helped me to understand how insulin is made in my body (or not) and how the different organs process sugars. Looking forward to my next appointment to learn more and hopefully feel better than I was.

As another poster has said, this doctor’s office never returns calls. More than that, I spoke with their acerbic office manager and mentioned I was low on a needed medicine. This was last week and I still haven’t gotten the prescription. This place needs some major law suits or people will suffer.

This doctor’s mind is all over the place yet sadly not on my symptoms. I’ve called the office over and over and over and over and over and over and over again without any response. Simply defies belief.

I was treated by Dr Hanson in 2002 for autoimmune thyroid issues. She was the best doctor I had ever seen then and since. She is extremely thorough and found things none of my other doctors ever mentioned or thought to look for. She ended up bringing me back to a functional state by adding t3 to the t4 which none of my prior Drs had allowed but which made all the difference. I was really happy to see her on my insurance provider's list this year and got in to see her asap. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants an extensively knowledgeable endocrinologist who actually wants to help her patients feel better and who doesn't only do the basic tests and then tells you to go see other Drs to find what's wrong when their basic tests come back "normal".

Dr. Hanson is very thorough and explains in detail what the test mean and what she is seeing in her professional eye. I would highly recommend her if you are look for an Endocrinologist.

I absolutely loved this endo. My PCOS and HypoThyroidism was well managed in the years that I was in her care. She had an excellent bedside manner - very frank and straight-forward, but clearly concerned about the well-being of the patient. I have not been able to find an endo that I like since she closed her practice.
