Genius on muscle disorders

I was referred by my primary physican. This Dr. Wasted my time, I was diagnosed with myoglobinuria and he could not confirm the source of the problem. I had to travel on several occasions from Yuma Arizona to hear nothing, so I stop going to him.

Wonderful Dr. and very compasionate. Verty busy and sometimes hard to get ahold of .

Don't go to this doctor!!!!! I have myasthenia gravis and he put me on 8 00 mg of mestinon 3 times a day which of course gave me severe diarrhea which we could not control so he took me off cold turkey and I went into a cholinergic crisis and was flown out to Barrows and almost died. I spent 2 weeks in a coma as all my organs began to shut down. Barrows gave up on me and a C DC doctor was called in. I was incubated the whole time and my wife was there all the time. The CDC doc was the one who got me through to get off the respirator. I spent another 2 weeks in the main hospital and the another 2 weeks in rehab learning how to swallow and walk again. The CDC doctor told me never let someone give me that much mestinon AGAIN AND SHE WAS SERIOUS!! I still have health issues from that and recently had to have my gall bladder removed due to the toxins from the high doses of mestinon. He should not ever prescribe that high a dose to anyone!

Would not recommend this doctor. He doesn't listen, and jumps to conclusions. He didn't read my records correctly and I had to constantly correct him. I'm just trying to find out why I have the pain and problems that I have been having and he acted like I was wasting his time!!!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Sivakumar for about 7 years for Myasthenia Gravis and he has always been friendly and has helped me to keep my Myasthenia well controlled. He has always explained any issues and follows up with me anytime he sees any issues with my blood tests.

Dr. Sivakumar was recommended by another neurologist I had been referred to. She suggested him because of his expertise. I found Dr. Sivakumar to be pleasant during all visits to his office. He took time to explain things to me and he was very confident in his diagnosis. I feel he treated me respectfully and seriously.

Another physician recommended Dr. Sivakumar to me, saying that he was "the best" in his field. Well, he may be an excellent diagnostician (I can't confirm or deny), but he has NO bedside manor (doesn't smile, rarely makes eye contact, is gruff and formal). I could deal with the lack of bedside manor, but I have serious misgivings about a doctor who says he won't bother giving me a Rx for physical therapy "because you probably wouldn't go" and then doesn't call me with the results of my MRI even after I've left a voicemail message requesting those results. After waiting 2 weeks for a phone call from him, I lost my patience. I picked up my own radiology report, cancelled my future follow-up appointment with him, and made an appointment with someone else. I'm in too much discomfort to wait for a doc who couldn't care less.
