Dr. Kurt Louis Unverferth, MD

Dr. Unverferth is a wonderful surgeon! He takes time to listen to his patients to try and find a solution to your pain whether that is surgery, a shot, or physical therapy. I highly recommend him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Unverferth for 2 knee replacements as well as a right hip. Kurt is a concerned, caring person and a true perfectionist as a surgeon. I have been told he makes sure his operating room is perfect (just like his skills). I have had rheumatoid arthritis for many years, a far more complicated condition which caused a more difficult hip surgery than the average patient and yet, I have had an excellent recovery and am back running around working and exercising. Dr. Unverferth is an outstanding surgeon.

Dr Unverferth Has that both of my new replacements is very professional. I would highly recommend him.

6.21.23 Dr. Kurt replaced my left knee in 2016 and my right knee on June 21st, 2023. I have no complaints. Dr. Kurt was/is every thing I could want in a surgeon and then some. I have recommended him to friends and strangers I met in standing in check out lines, weddings, restaurants etc.

Dr. Unverferth is a very caring. He’s performed two replacement surgeries on me and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome and with the compassion he has shown through both surgeries. He is very knowledgeable and (if needed) would have any future surgeries under his care.

Dr. Unverferth explained my procedure with great detail. He was always upbeat during office visits and need positive comments about my recovery progress.

I’ve had both hips replaced as well as a full left knee replacement and Dr Unverferth has been such a great surgeon and doctor with a caring and professional demeanor. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing orthopedic work done on their hips/knees.

Had a total knee replacement done . Awesome Dr. was very pleasant to my self and my husband explained everything great so you could understand what was going to happen .I would highly recommend Dr.Unverferth to any one great surgeon. Called day after I went home and checked on me .I am 55 years old and have had surgery before and have never had a surgeon do that before . Made me feel like he really cares about his patients . Awesome himself and Orthopedic one are great A plus in my book.

In my last visit I asked Dr. Unverferth to show me through x-rays the progression of my hip condition. He did not. He talked to me about my last x-ray and I specifically asked for the reading of my last 4 years of x-rays.
