Dr. Kyle Colle, DO

You should talk to the people in the Cape Girardeau, Missouri area about how many spines Dr. C messed up and how many are on SSDI or suffering long term effects from failed surgeries at a much higher rate than the average surgeon. He skipped town for a reason. Allegedly, the hospital in Missouri couldn't keep him insured.

If I could give him no stars I would. He performed an procedure on me that he had to know wouldn't fix my back issue. I personally believe that rating sites only publish good reviews. From start to finish with my surgical procedure this doctor spent a total of 3 minutes with me.

Dr. Kyle Colle, DO, is a BRILLIANT Neurosurgeon who dares to go where others won’t. I had a 3-level anterior cervical fusion (with a different neurosurgeon) in 2019. In 2021, I had Staphylococcus aureus infection (Osteomyelitis) in my neck bones and the fusion hardware. For over 8 months in 2022, I was in extraordinary pain and knew something was terribly wrong with my neck. Got an MRI, and my previous neurosurgeon declined to see or talk to me because the MRI summary page said, “it COULD be Osteomyelitis, or acute swelling from trauma.” SIX other neurosurgeons declined to see me when they saw that MRI summary. Desperate, and not knowing where to go, I made one last attempt. I called Joint Implant Surgeons of Florida and got the miracle I needed – in the form of Dr. Kyle Colle. He said, “SURE, come on in and we’ll take a look at that neck!” By looking at the MRI films, Dr. Colle confirmed NO infection. He also identified broken hardware, broken screws, AND a broken neck! We… scheduled posterior fusion (C4-T1) surgery that same day. Dr. Colle is kind, compassionate, engaged in the health & well-being of his patients, and very easy to talk to and understand. He does not shrink down on doing the difficult and “messy” surgeries. Today, my neck is stable – all because Dr. Colle said “Yes!” If you are struggling, call him FIRST! I highly recommend him & his entire staff.

I felt extremely comfortable with Dr Colle in discussing my neck problems. He thoroughly explained my vertebral difficulty. He also explained that the needed surgery was a bit of last resort. He encouraged me to see Dr Melendez about another epidural for the pain and hopefully we can at least put off the surgery for a while. Thank you Dr Colle!

Came in for a second opionion- but Dr. Colle was so patient and informative that I decided to switch doctors to Dr. Colle. He was so calm, confident, and experienced that it was a no-brainer.
