my surgery was the best ever!!! i can’t believe this is the word i am using to describe it. i mean no pain. i feel great! Dr is very effective in his work.

I was having great difficulty walking and had significant foot pain. I have been dealing with this for about 6 years and have loss a lot of muscle mass in my right leg. I have been to several local orthopedic surgeons, neurologist, a neurosurgeon and pain specialist. No one had a plan other than medication or PT. After many years of PT my therapist suggested I see Dr Girardi. I called and after looking at my MRI and nerve reports he saw the urgency in my situation and I got an appointment right away to see Dr.Girardi. Ten days later Dr. Girardi performed a laminectomy on my lower back. About 5 hours after surgery I was up and walking better than I have in years and no pain. It has now been about 6 weeks and I still have improved mobility and I'm 90% pain free. When I first started walking outside my neighbors came out to complement me on how good I was walking even though I was using a walker. When I told them I had back surgery a few days ago they were surprised. In addition his… entire staff has been very helpful from his assistant who arranges things and deals with the insurance companies to his nurse who called and checked up on me when I was at home. My only regret is I wish I did this sooner.

Last march I went for L-5 S-1 surgery. Dr. told me all healed, however a year later and I now have to go to pain management Dr. as my sciatica never subsided. I am very disappointed and still have day to day and night to night pain and cramping.

When I first met Dr. Girardi I was in excruciating pain that had taken over my life. Our first meeting was a FaceTime call and in his professional calming way he told me I was going to be alright. His absolutely 2nd to none staff immediately took on my case, worked out my insurance, scheduled my visits, kept me constantly informed and even answered my calls and emails on weekends and late at night. There is no one, no one better, than Dr Girardi and his staff along with everyone at HSS that’s why they are the best of the best. Dr Girardi told me I would wake up from surgery and the pain would be gone, I didn’t believe him but he was 100% right! 3 months post surgery I have my life back, my pain is gone , my strength is back and I’m a new man again. Dr Girardi and his staff gave me back my life and for that I will forever be grateful. If you’re reading this you’re probably like I was and searching for the right doctor to take care of you. Stop, look no further. I’m glad I did… and you will be too.

In 2020, after the birth of my third child the pain in my back and leg had gotten to a point of no return. My many attempts to fix the problem wasn’t working. I was recommended to Dr. Girardi’s office and was afraid that the pain was all in my head. He took the time to explain my injury and talk through options to correct the issue. He talked to me like a human and let me know that I wasn’t alone. That we would find a solution together. The office staff was incredible. Rena handled all of the preparations and made it easy to follow. Andrea the surgical coordinator put me completely at ease. Cherilyn the nurse practitioner answered questions and messages within moments as did Marsha. My recovery was well handled and I am completely pain free to this day. I am able to engage with my children and carry them without pain. I can walk without fear of losing feeling in my leg. I could not have asked for a better experience during a time that was the most difficult at the time.

Dr. Girardi is a rare combination of being an excellent surgeon, a warm and caring human being, who is very approachable, flexible and humble. All his staff, especially, Andrea and Rena were very efficient and helpful throughout.

Dr. Girardi's quiet, confident manner is not only re-assuring but to me is an indication that he is supremely skilled. Six years ago I would wake up every morning in spasm, bent over at the waist. He said I would be fine and after nine hours of complex surgery totally restored my posture. Recently, arthritis and disc compression in my neck required fusions at 5 levels. My recovery has been virtually painless. I feel very fortunate to be his patient.

Dr. Girardi and his office were great! Helped me with a long standing back pain. Diagnosed it and recommended epidural and it relieved the pain. For now I'm feeling great!

I have had surgery two years ago with Dr Girardi. What a success! I could hardly walk and now I’m back to my busy schedule. It was amazing, Dr Girardi said I would be walking and feeling better right after surgery and he was right. I would recommend Dr Girardi, he is a gifted surgeon and he has a wonderful bedside manner.

failed sugery Dr Girardi (or so it was suppose to be) did my back surgery about 2 years ago. I have finally realized that my life has changed and will not be getting any better. The surgery resulted in severe nerve damage to my bladder and my feet and a good deal of memory loss. I spent the first night in the ICU of a in and out surgery. I have had terrible nerve pain in both feet 24/7 since the day of the surgery. I also have nerve damage to my bladder. A scar that I was told to be about 1" is over 3" long. I've had to give up tennis, running and any other exercise that has anything to do with my feet. I've seen many specialists since including a top notch neurologist who say it is all a result of my spinal surgery. The surgical report did not say anything went wrong but at the bottom it say "doctor Giraridi was PRESENT during the entire surgery" What exactly does that mean? Wouldn't want anyone else to go through this horrible experience that has totally changed my life.
