My hip replacement surgery couldn't have been better. Dr. Nawabi is a serious, very smart doctor with a terrific bedside manner. I felt 100% safe in his care. His office staff are wonderful too. I did not think I would ever be able to walk normally again but I am now as good as new and I have been able to resume my active lifestyle. Much gratitude to Dr. Nawabi and HSS! The very best!

After traveling across the country purposing to see Dr. Nawabi multiple times. He was over four hours late for my appointment. After this lengthy wait, during the consultation in the exam room, he took a personal phone call regarding a bank transfer. He went into extensive details about his personal information during the call, while I sat there watching him take time away from my appointment to discuss something completely irrelevant. This behaviour felt incredibly rude and disrespectful, especially considering the significant effort and expense I undertook to be there.To make matters worse, he offered no solutions to my concerns. I had sought his expertise for a failed ACL revision on my left knee and an existing ACL tear on my right knee, but he admitted he wasn?t equipped to handle my case and suggested seeing other doctors instead. This lack of confidence and professionalism was not what I expected from a doctor affiliated with a hospital renowned for orthopaedics.

He is one of the top surgeons at the best Orthopaedic hospital in the country. Do not hesitate to see him for any knee or hip issues.

Dr. Nawabi recently performed a hip resurfacing for me after all other options had been exhausted. The doctor patiently met with me a number of times, answered all my questions clearly and provided valuable, reassuring feedback every step of the way. I was quite nervous on the day of the procedure yet he arrived, early of course, and once again filled me with confidence that we were on the right path. Waking up following the operation - who do I see right there in the room waiting for me was the Doctor! Clearly he had come out of his way as he had on a ski jacket I believe, but the extra mile of his providing that personal confirmation that the work he did went without incident educated me how fortunate I was to be taken care of by a surgeon who allows the HSS to maintain their record of excellence.

Dr. Nawabi fixed my knee when no one else could. I had a complex cartilage issue. He is a great surgeon and compassionate doctor. Office staff are great too. Thank you!!
