I would give no stars if I could. Get a second opinion when you see this doctor. She recommended a partial knee replacement. HSS is the gold standard so I listened to her without getting a second opinion. The recovery was terribly painful. I had pain for months after. She was completely dismissive when I talked about the pain and recommended another surgery! Turns out I did NOT need my surgery that she did. I had bursitis and a meniscus tear. I went to great doctors at NYU (Alaia) and Mt. Sinai (Moucha) that helped me. Had she diagnosed me correctly i would not have had two years of knee pain.

Both my husband and I have used Dr. Strickland. She performed surgery on my husband's rotator cuff. And on me, she removed hardware from a previous injury as well as scoped the knee. Both are surgeries went great! We are both all healed She is extremely bright, works with tons of world-class women athletes, and has an office team that runs like a clock and will ALWAYS accommodate you to get you in. Dr. Strickland has awesome communication skills. We both loved the fact that she's a woman orthopedic. It's a field dominated by men so you know a woman has to work so much harder. We recommend her to everyone. We no longer live in the northeast but I can safely say if we needed an orthopedic surgeon we wouldn't hesitate to fly across the world to see her!

I have a lot of experience with doctors and she is NOT what you want. she has met me and performed surgery on me and still has no idea who I am. she NEVER follows up and honestly dont believe she cares about me. a paper pusher. BAD BAD BAD

Dr. Strickland does not care about her patients. She does not return emergency calls in a timely fashion, and after not returning a call, cancels the surgery. She did nothing to help me, stressed me out to the max and was totally unprofessional, had no empathy. I wouldn't go to this physician if she were the last doctor left on the face of the earth.

Dr. Strickland is the worst. She is rude, rushed, and a frenzied mess. The opposite of what I look for in a surgeon. She just does not care, period. She must have a good PR person, but the reality does not match.

Very unfriendly Doctor! The staff left the door open while I was waiting to see Dr. Strickland. I could hear her discussing other patients charts as she stood in the hallway. She brought an intern and a medical student in the room when seeing me and did not explain who they were or ask if I was ok with it. She also did not enter the room and shake my hand she just sat down as if she was annoyed. Her diagnosis of my injuries was inaccurate! See someone else!!!

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible. She has poor-decision making skills (not good for a surgeon...) and is aggravating to deal with. Obviously she just wants to be one of those "TV" doctors and doesn't really care about anyone but herself!
