I started to have numbness in my left hand and arm, then pain in my right arm with weakness in my hand. I discussed this with my primary care, and had x-rays done, and MRI done, and was advised that I should be seen by a neurosurgeon. I was fortunate enough to be referred to Dr Sekhon, he requested all of my records and my MRI disc to review before my appointment. When I went to my first appointment, after Dr Sekhon reviewed all records, and examined me,he recommended cervical spine surgery ,he explained what was involved how long my recovery should be, gave me reading material, answered all of my questions to my satisfaction, and advised my husband and myself about the first six weeks postop. He recommended that my husband and I should talk it over and if we decide I wanted the surgery I could call his surgery scheduler. My symptoms were worsening so we decided to go ahead with the surgery, and it was scheduled and performed in 2 1/2 weeks. My husband and I think that it was a… total success, and two months out I see an improvement in my independence, and strength daily. Dr Sekhon and Craig Erickson PA are definitely a winning team. Dr. Sekhon is an awesome doctor. He is a good surgeon and a compassionate doctor. I have had two spine surgeries with Dr. Sekhon and don't trust my body with any other doctor than Dr. Sekhon.

Dr. Sekhon performed extensive spinal surgery on me because my spinal cord was severely constricted, causing numbness throughout my body. I had some complications after surgery for which I needed skilled nursing for about one month. Before and at all times after Dr. Sekhon and his staff tool great care to explain procedures and treatments to me. They checked in with me while I was in the facility and later at home. Dr. Sekhon and all associated with him are patient, thorough, treat you with dignity and kindness. I highly recommend him.

After undergoing two unsuccessful back surgeries, I found Dr. Sekhon—and I'm so grateful I did. He was incredibly thorough, taking the time to explore all other options before ultimately recommending a third surgery to fuse the problematic area. The results were immediate—my leg pain was completely gone right after surgery. Dr. Sekhon has been wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. I have had a long history of spinal medical issues over the years. My most recent problem was lumbar pain and neurology issues which I had been experiencing for over a year. I finally went to my primary doctor for an annual check-up and I asked Dr. Farrimond who he would recommend if he had serious lumbar pain and numbness in both legs that needed attention. Without hesitation, Dr. Farrimond recommended Dr. Sekhon at Reno Orthopedics Clinic (ROC) for any spinal issues. I called Dr. Sekhon's office and got an appointment to see him quickly. I gathered all my medical history and recent MRIs and dropped them off at Dr. Sekhon's office. Within a few days, the office scheduler called me and said Dr. Sekhon wanted to see me. My first appointment was on January 4th, 2024, Dr. Sekhon explained in detail what was going on with my lumbar spine, and he had a plan of action to alleviate the pain and get me on the road to recovery and enjoying life again. The surgery consists of bilateral L2-3… decompression laminectomy right side dissecting L2-3 posterior lumbar instrumental fusion with the removal of old hardware. On February 5th I was on the operating table by 7 am that morning. The following day I walked out of the hospital on my own without a wheelchair and my wife drove me home. Postoperative I experience some pain but manageable. The follow-up appointments were 4, 6, and 12 weeks followed by physical therapy and Dr. Sekhon was very much interested in my recovery process during all appointments.
