Dr. Lana Selitsky, MD

Dr. Selitsky is a truly wonderful OBGYN and a heartfelt advocate for your health and wellbeing throughout pregnancy and beyond. I started seeing her when I became pregnant with my daughter and with each appointment I always left feeling calm and informed. She always gave me plenty of time to ask all of my questions and never made me feel rushed, validating all my concerns with thoughtful and calming response. My pregnancy was categorized high risk due to gestational diabetes and she always made me feel like I had everything under control with lots of positive reinforcement and even giving me extra ultrasounds at my request when I didn’t even need them. She is a dedicated advocate for vaginal birth and was very respectful of my birth wishes. She was a soothing presence in the delivery room expressing a unique combination of compassion and command during my labor. My daughter joined me at my follow up appointment and Dr. Selitsky was so sweet and excited to see her. It’s also worth… mentioning that everyone in her office is amazing to work with and so kind. Such a great team. I feel very grateful to have my health in her hands.

Dr. Selitsky is wonderful! I’ve been going to her for almost 10 years. She knew me before I was married and has now delivered all three of my girls. My oldest is 3.5 yrs and my youngest is 5.5 months. I love the way she is very relaxed and honest. As a full-time working mom in finance; Dr. Selitsky and her practice are always very accommodating with schedules and try to be timely. We moved out of NYC after my first daughter was born to the CT suburbs and I stuck w/Dr. Selitsky in NYC b/c I had a great first experience and trust her implicitly.

It took over three weeks to receive my prescription and final test results. I have called and left a multitude of messages and she fails to fully address my concerns regarding two separate occasions.

Dr. Selitsky is amazing. She delivered both of my kids and took the best possible care of us. My first pregnancy was very difficult, and she stuck by us every minute -- calling to check in, and regularly touching base with the specialist I needed to see. My second pregnancy was much easier, and I still received the same excellent care. She even pushed her vacation back to deliver my daughter. How many doctors do that, especially in hectic NYC? We love her and are so thankful she was our doctor.

Dr. Selitsky is the most non-responsive dr I have ever had the misfortune to go to. Don't waist your time as you will have to got somewhere else to have any issues resolved

Great doctor with good bedside manner. I will continue to go to her. I actually switch to her from another doctor, because she seem to spend more time with me. She answered whatever questions I had. Very personable.

The wait time is consistently over an hour. The doctor attempts to be professional but is clearly inherently insensitive. She literally ripped open my paper gown to perform the breast exam without warning or explanation leaving me completely exposed for the rest of the appt. It was totally unnecessary and felt violent and sadistic. During a sensitive office meeting she barely looked at or listened to me when I asked questions, instead she tossed me a fact sheet and rushed me out the door after five minutes. I do not understand why she does this work.

This is the worst place, they will make you wait for very long time even if you are early , and also if you are waiting for blood test result or other test result forget it! they won't call you , you will have to call them 100 times and they will not bother in answer your messages, don't go to this place , you better look for professional gynecologist.
