This place and Dr Lance (the looser) Cassell is a money machine not a medical practice. All about how many office visits and internal referrals they can generate. The totally unacceptable telephone hold time should have been the sign. Lance ordered an MRI, then passed me to his PA, who was a nice guy but never even brought up the results of my test. Then all they wanted to do was schedule another office visit with another doctor in their practice. Do Not Go Here. Terrible communications. Google Tampa Pain Relief Centers. They were fined $41 Million for billing Medicare and Medicaid for unnecessary and non existent laboratory tests and they wrote a check! How much did they really steel pay a fine that enormous and not go bankrupt?

I finally found a doctor that would listen to my pain where other doctors tell me my problems ... this doctor (Dr Cassell) helps me manage my pain level to where I can now live comfortably 24/7 ... thank you, Dr Cassell

He was completely awlful. I have had multiple disabilities for 8 years now and I see him for 60 seconds and he immediately pre judged me! I was supposed to talk with him about my medications but instead he yelled at me and stormed out the room because I tried to ask a question! Completely cut me off of my medication I’ve been on for years no without notice!

People like Lance Cassell have no business in medicine. He spent less than 5 minutes on the first visit, didn’t examine me or medical records, just laid down his rules. He treats disabled people like drug addicts when all they want is a little relief from horrible constant pain. Drug addicts get more help than disabled people because of people like him. Cassell is a run of the mill drill mill operator. Save yourself

I ended up with Sarasota Pain when my original doctor sold his practice. There have been some other doctors there before Sarasota Pain. To be honest, I never got on the internet to check it all out. Then I heard they had a practice in Venice where I live so asked if I could transfer down there. So there I went. Things went very well. Never a long wait, Dr Cassell was OK. No bedside manner even when I was a patient since since day 1. Then I get a phone call from the office saying my mouth swab came back with a positive for meth. Impossible!!! I am 70 years old and wouldn't even know where to get it or what it looks like, or what you do with it. I tried to talk to Dr. Cassell about it but no one would even talk to me. I didn''t even complain about him lowering all my medications with barely an explanation. Then I found out there is a medication which I take that will cause a false positive for meth. Still won't talk to me. So I left the information I had found with the… receptionist to give to him. Not even a phone call to discus it. So my previous positive remarks about Dr. Cassell is down the tubes. If he cant take 5 minutes to listen to a long standing patient, then I have to say he's not a very compassionate person.

Total jerk. Discharges patients when he cant take there pain away. Stay away from this arrogant Doctor.

Dr Cassell is a very compassionate and personable Dr. He knows the options for those of us who live with daily pain and he's a lifesaver. He has changed my life, for sure.

He is not just a pain doctor. He listens and genuinely cares about his patients. Reccomend him to anyone

He is a part of Dr Shortt's staff, so after my 2nd set of back injections he never examined me except for a knee reflex test. A side for the fact that he billed medicare as a new patient and I was an existing one. I still have pain but will never use that office again.
