Dr. Larisa Garbar, MD

This Dr misdiagnosed my dad. My dad wasn’t feeling good for a long time. Coughing horribly. He went to see the Dr and she said it’s pneumonia. My dad didn’t stop coughing. He went back to her and pneumonia again. We went to Lakewood Park Hospital and he was already stage 4 cancer. That’s only the short version. She even stated she misdiagnosed him.

While at Lakewood hosp recovering from hip replacement in 2014, Dr Garbar was an attending physician on duty. She was magnificent and made a stressful situation very comforting and got me through a very unpleasant ordeal with her treatment and reassurance. God bless this Doctor.

I was admitted to Lakewood Regional Medical Center ( actually a dirt pit and germ mine) for coughing up blood. The admitted me and never and never administered any medication EXCEPT a shot for nausea. Meanwhile all questions were returned with Dr.Garber, Dr. Garbar . They walked into the room on Tuesday morning at 7:30 A.M. and hung medication (first bag they had administered since 7P.M. Monday evening) of Magnesium under orders of Dr. Garbar who I have yet to meet. They explain it is for kidneys and I have them remove it immediately. Within the hour this mysterious Dr. Garbar arrives speaking with a very heavy East European accent and explains she will do what she wants, when she wants. After going toe to toe with her she scrambles off never to be seen again. I ask why they arte not treating the coughing up blood to which I receive no answer. Throughout the emergency visit and the arrival at death camp 2 I explain I have stage IV Sarcoma lung cancer and now they are really in a hurry… to get the records faxed from the VA because coughing up blood is a $0.50 would to be treated but my God, Cancer, Tricking lung cancer we are talking kaching, kaching, machine that could be heard all the way to New Jersey. So screw treating the $0.50 item when you are looking at $XX,XXX,XXX.00. I check out of the dirt factory and am again back to the VA in Long Beach that is 1) cleaner 2) more concerned with ALL injuries and 3) Keeps their suicide squad under scrutiny unlike Tenet corporation at all of their facilities like Los Alamitos and Lakewood. Before Tenet owned then these hospitals were god, heavy on the meaning WERE.
