Terrible personality, over an hour wait, bad diagnostician.

I have worked in medicine for 25 years and have come to know Dr. Larry Sobel as one of the absolute best! He is a great listener and arrives rapidly to solution and in some cases offers on site testing. Quickly you are at ease...for peace of mind is invaluable.

I've been going to this office since I was a child. My experience had always been great. In the last few years, waiting time has increased significantly. When I schedule I 5:00 appointment, I am often not seen until 6:30 or later. It is very irresponsible, disrespectful and unprofessional to leave patients waiting this long. As I'm writing this, I have been waiting to be seen for 2 hours. Unacceptable. Also, a year ago I was diagnosed with strep throat here. A few days later my symptoms were getting worse and had to go to the hospital, turns out I had pneumonia and was required to stay in the hospital for 4 days.

My husband was a patient of Dr. Sobel's for over 10 years. a year and a half ago, my husband was diagnosed with terminal Kidney cancer which had metastasized to his lungs. Stage 4. He was diagnosed as am emergency room patient, because he was having trouble breathing. Two weeks previously, my husband had called Dr. Sobel's office complaining about shortness of breath and was told that this was going around and he could come in if he wanted, but it was probably his COPD acting up or a chest cold. That is not my issue, because a two week earlier diagnosis would not have mattered. All records were sent to the doctor's office, with the new diagnosis, the kidney removal surgery and everything that was going on. After 10 years + as a patient, there was never a call for Sobel's office just to check in or say hello. My husband had never had any issues with his care during all those years, but the doctor's lack of communication is rude, unprofessional and just wrong. That is my… complaint.

Very sad to see this place go down the hills .... So much has changed. More then an hour waiting

After multiple trips to urgent cares and reputable ER's here in the Valley, I was beginning to lose my faith in fellow Medical practitioners along with losing my mind! DR. Larry Sobel, with his knowledge and professionalism has restored both. A visit to a Scottsdale ER days before, (which will end up costing me a couple thousand) and the doctor there didn't look in my ears, nose or throat, or listen to my stomach, despite my complaints of nausea, vomiting and dizziness. 2 days and a few minutes in his office, a great physical assessment the right meds! I'm cured!! Thank you so much, DR. Larry!!!

I have been going to Sobel FP for 18 years and would not think of changing. Larry is a great doctor and has a good sense of humor. It may take a few visits to see it( the humor).It took me 6 yrs. to get my husband to go to the Dr.,but Dr. Larry found he had prostate cancer the very first visit. He gives a thorough exam to his patients.

I have been seeing this office for close to a year. Without warning I was discharged. For no reason either. I have regular prescriptions I use for my life to stay alive and when I called the office explaining my concern about the medications I need the receptionist told me if I get deathly Ill go to urgent care and they will fill everything. I've never been treated so poorly from a doctors office ever. They are a horrible office all around so please don't go.
