Dr. Lashonda Ann Carlton, MD

Not only did she have extremely passive aggressive comments from the moment my mother’s appointment started, but throughout she mocked, laughed, and disregarded my mother and all the very serious issues she is having. She completely ignored the issues and wasted our time and money. I have never experienced such a rude doctor before in my life. She’s like a teacher with favorites, and if you’re not a favorite, it is VERY evident. Do not see this doctor, it is worth waiting for someone more considerate and helpful.

Dr Lashonda Carlton was incredibly dismissive and rude. Not only was she a half hour late (which happens, I get that) but she did not even listen to what I was explaining... she talked over me and suggested standard solutions to a problem that I was not even having. She was not listening to what I was saying at all. She was rude, talked down to me and smirked when I tried to explain what she misunderstood. I will never go see her again! I was clearly just a number and not someone she was interested in helping. So I paid a high copay for a specialist for no reason. If I would have googled her before I went to see her I would have seen that she treats most people this way. Let these reviews save you the trouble... just pick a different doctor.

I have been seeing Dr.Carlton for about a little over 4 years. 2 weeks ago she delivered my son via C-section. I must say the amount of professionalism she shows is incredible. If you’re looking for a doctor to sugarcoat your health then look somewhere else. But if you’re looking for a doctor that has your best interests at heart then she is the right fit. She has good bedside manners and is very relatable. The only con is her wait times can be a little long because of the amount of time she spends with each patient but again that’s not a big deal to me. I don’t feel rushed or not heard by her.

Dr. Carlton is amazing! I seen her a lot towards the end of my pregnancy. I love that she dosent sugar coat anything and that she’s very up front and honest!

What a terrible person Dr. Carlton is. I left the office in tears. What's worse is I read the negative reviews and decided to give her the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe people had misjudged her. I regret ever meeting her. She has the terrible bedside manner, very off-putting personality and b berated me the whole time. She did not even introduce herself, much less ask anything about me or address any of my concerns. It took everything not to walk out of my appointment. I was shocked at her lack of compassion and dare I say humanity, people like her shouldn't go to the medical field, she should have stuck to engineering - clearly she hates people and didn't go into medicine because she wants to take care or help them.

I can put up with a lot as I understand the stress of family members being in the field. We had to discuss surgical options which after extensively going over details ourself to prepare came only to find out that person DIDN'T do that surgery. Another option was thrown at us and we were expected to suddenly weigh the risks and info and give a decision in less than 2 minutes. We had concerns and she made it very clear there wasn't time for them even though we waited over an hour for her. She was disrespectful about her mannerisms the whole appt. Down played the stress and did NOT respect patient disabilities that were in the chart. There was disrespect with the parent when asking about timing of each surgery vs the other and with insurance too. Everything was an inconvenience to this woman. We are never going back to this place. We had issues at the other location too where patient had fasted and showed up to be rescheduled and sent to OR since the staff there forgot to call & say their… anesthesiologist had already made it clear he was not going to be able to do so DAYS PRIOR. This woman as a 1st visit was on so many levels sickening. I do NOT recommend anyone to go to her nor the practice for that matter. Now we have to start all over the process w/severe anemic infusions and seizures etc from the issue. She also recommended a procedure that involved hormones which with the blood clotting disorder and GI disorder and movement disorder would be dangerous. Stay away- nightmare. PTSD was also not a concern AT ALL with this woman.
