Dr. Latrice Marsya Allen, MD

Dr. Allen has been my gynacologist for 15 years, I started going to her when I was 17. When my husband and I wanted to start having children I knew we would be in great hands. Dr. Allen delivered our first baby this year and our experience could not have been better. Not only is her staff super friendly and accommodating but Dr. Allen’s great bedside manner is so rare to find these days. She treats you more like family then a patient, she doesn’t rush you, she answers all of your questions (and you can have a lot when it’s your first baby). She’s funny, caring and punctual. The best part about her practice is the patient portal, you can send her a message directly and she almost always will reply the same day. I’ve worked in the medical field for over 10 years and that is hard to come by with physicians. My delivery was a breeze and just knowing she was there by our side made the entire experience a time I will never forget!

Dr. Allen and her team are Superb and very thorough. They were very proactive in getting me the earliest available appointment. Dr. Allen also is proactive in preventive care. She exudes excellence in every way.

There are times when you may look back at choices you make and wonder...what if I made a different choice? Dr. Allen was my Dr for 4years. I have complex medical issues that makes pregnancy difficult and life threatening. As the prior messages state, she has lost a child in the past 10 years. My child. Was it her fault? The Medical Board said no. Is it cause for concern? Only you can make those decisions. I believe that there was no intentional malice on Dr. Allen's part. Yes, things could have been done differently. It was a case of bad circumstances for all involved. I now have 2 healthy children who I chose to have with a provider who specialized in my specific condition. Would I recommend her for you? Do your research. Find a provider who you feel comfortable with and it may be her. The office staff is incredible and the nurses are well trained. Your Dr is only as good as the information you provide them. If your mommy-intuition is ringing and the bells are so loud you can't stop… them...speak up.

Dr. Allen is the best OB I have visited in years. She really shows a great concern for her patients. Her thorough explanations of procedures and the reasons why she is performing them helps ease the nervousness and apprehension. I am always greeted with a warm smile by courteous professional staff. Although it is a doctor's office, I feel like family when I am in her office. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and caring OB.

Dr. Allen is the kindest, smartest doctor I've ever been to visit. She take extra time with any patient that needs it and somehow stays on time with all appointments during the day. She returns phone calls promptly and her office staff is gracious and very helpful. I would recommend her to everyone!

I would never go back to Dr. Allen. She has a decent bedside manner and makes you feel comfortable, but don't let that fool you. That is where the positives end. She was not there for me for my labor or delivery. It is my belief that she is not a doctor that is willing to put in the time to do her job correctly. I have heard of several situations in the surrounding community where she has actually lost healthy babies (2 in 2 years) due to her poor judgment in a delivery scenario.....In addition I have also spoken with a former patient who had Toxic Shock syndrome as a result of her c-section and Dr. Allen did not listen or respond appropriately. Please, do not go to this Dr. and share this with your friends. If you had a positive experience with her you are lucky, but losing 2 babies and a case of undiagnosed TSS in 2 years is not a great track record. It could happen to you the next time....She is not a good OB....if she can not do her job then she should learn from her devastating… mistakes and do something else....just practice GYN-STOP PUTTING BABIES AT RISK AND RUINING LIVES!

Dr. Allen was the best Dr. ever! She delivered my daughter and I couldn't ask for a better doctor. She answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable.
