Dr. (Regrettably) BERNAY was my private Psychiatrist for over 13 years. When I would initially visit with her it was for primarily psychopharm. .When I began needing her for anything else other than Klonopin or Zoloft, she wad MIA. I needed her to write a simple "psyche note" for bariatric surgery, she ignored my requests and calls for nearly a month. This cost me my surgical date and all involved- inconvenience and money. From therein, she was a very dangerous (cover your butt) negligent doctor, who clearly not Bly despises her poor Beth Israel clinic patients, overtly like they are all drug addicts; note: don't practice as a legal psychopharmological drug dealer if you consider mentally ill human beings as annoying addicts. She treats her $300/hr. ( so called) ' private' patients, also like dirt!!!! I nearly died when a family member telephoned her, panicking, three times and she never called me or anyone to evaluate. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SELF HATING, PATIENT NEGLECTFUL-… NARCISSIST. There are plenty of excellent psychiatrists in NYC that won't cause you MORE pain and problems. I am a NURSE PRACTITIONER for nearly 30 years and she has ( and will continue to have) a horrible reputation. Don't let the credentials fool you. They are not representing who/ what BERNAY IS: A BORED, self absorbed narcissist, suffering herself from NPD, patient- despising, lazy, VERY past retirement and a danger to human beings in need of professional, compassionate care. Stay away fellow patients.

Dr. Benay's treatment should be the standard by which all doctors are judged. She is kind, compassionate, generous with her time & precise in her treatments. She does not waste patient's time or money.
