Dr. Laura Guadiana Sanchez, MD

Dr. Laura Guadiana works within a medical group that consists of 4 doctors. The two doctors I had my experience with here made me feel that you are just another patient and that they could care less if they see you or not. The one doctor I had visited here for the first time I didn’t feel that connected or comfortable with and decided I would like to try another doctor in the group. I was then told by the doctor's receptionist that if transferred doctors within the group, I “would not be allowed to go back to see the previous doctor”. Little did I realize that this would have an effect on how I would be received by the other doctor I requested to be seen by. When I showed up for my first visit to see this other doctor, which had been cancelled a few weeks earlier and rescheduled because the doctor had to go out of town, there was only one other patient waiting in the lobby when I arrived and when I left an hour later, I was apparently the only and last patient to arrive for the… rest of the day. I had checked in 15 minutes early for my appointment which was at 4:00pm. The other patient that was waiting when I arrived was called back exactly at 4:00pm. At 4:40 (yes that’s forty minutes later) I inquired to the receptionist what was going on and what was taking so long to see the doctor and was told the doctor was with a new patient. ANOTHER 20 minutes later, I decided to leave. The receptionist could not refund me for the doctor’s visit because the system was down due to the office was in the process of closing. I agreed to reschedule my visit again for the third time to be seen for the first time by this doctor. I mentioned to the receptionist that it seems odd that this doctor doesn’t even make the attempt to come out and apologize for the inconvenience in the waited time to see her or the repeated failure in scheduled appointments for the patient to be seen by her. Which was met with, Oh the doctor can see you now, she’s just finishing up with her notes. This behavior by a "professional" doctor is a sad reflection on how unprofessional and petty even those professions of “merited status” have become in our society today. The only way I can protest this mistreatment is to share my experience with those who have taken the time to read this in hopes that you will make your own conclusions to what I have shared here and consider my experience and ask yourself is this the way you would want to be treated while patron a doctor's office for your health care needs?
