Dr. Laura Slade Machado, MD

She is not a doctor I recommend. I have had to use her at the VA Hospital. She is a poorly trained doctor that often forgets major details about her patients. She often refers to me as a male, I am all lady, no manly lady either. In my medical file she gets me mixed up with other patients and their diseases. Her memory is really scary. She can talk to you and the next day, REMEMBER NOTHING. She is very dishonest and sneaky. She works hard to get you to trust her and then takes things you say, twist them adds a spin to it and turns what you said, into a complete lie. Unless you read your medical records closely, she will have other medical staff believing some bizarre things about you. She wrote in my file that I told her I was abusing drugs. I just had major surgery, now I know why I was sent home with Tylenol. I have never even had a prescription for a pain pill. I am a retired Federal Officer with 22 yrs and Active Duty Army, 9 years. I am thoroughly disgusted by the way… I've been treated but there's nothing I can do because there's no way I can have her to remove the lies she wrote in my medical file.
