Dr. Laura Beth Moylan, MD

During my daughter-in-law's first pregnancy she started spotting and cramping. She went to the ER and had tests done, including HCG levels. She had an appointment with Dr. Moylan 2 days later at which they drew her levels again. Without even having a comparison level yet. Dr. Moylan walked in, told her she's probably having a miscarriage, to expect more bleeding and cramping, and then walked out. Never said anything about what to do, when she wanted to see her again, nothing. That was on a Thursday. She was supposed to get a call Friday to let her know what her levels were. After waiting all day without word, she called the office and was told they didn't have them back that she would have to wait until her appointment on Monday. She ended up going to the ER again over the weekend and her levels had almost doubled. She received a call Monday morning that Dr. Moylan said it was not a viable pregnancy, that she would miscarry if she hadn't already, and to cancel her appointment for later… that day and to make one for a couple of weeks later to follow up. When my DIL asked her about the levels over the weekend doubling, the lady said, "oh, well I don't know what to tell you then, I guess she didn't see those." So within a week, Dr. Moylan had told her she was going to lose the baby twice without having a good amount of HCG levels to compare. No, they were not exactly doubling every 48 hours, but it was very close and they were still rising significantly. It can take 72 hours for them to actually double. I understand there are no Bedside Manner courses when receiving your MD, but there's still a level of compassion and knowing that extra unnecessary stress can actually cause a miscarriage.

I was a long time patient with Dr. Moylan. She really doesn't have much of a bed side manor, has a very whatever attitude. The final straw was when I was asked to reschedule because of their scheduling conflict and expected me to wait another 2 months to get in. Told the scheduler I wasn't happy with that and she said sorry, but things happen and that's how things go. My answer, sorry also, I'm finding another doctor. They did me a favor, she's not that great a doctor to wait another 2 months for and I don't put up with rude people. Glad they pushed me out of there!

A very nice doctor but, very rough! I was sore everywhere after seeing her!

Just didn't feel she really cared one way or the other. Even though I told her I was having painful intercourse my exam was the roughest I ever had. Not gentle in the least. She also performed exam without nurse present. I went to another gyn for a 2nd opinion on a procedure she scheduled me for and found out I don't need to have it. I will not be returning to her office. I love my new doctor that I had 2nd opinion with.

Misdiagnosed me with something & gave me an unnecessary hysterectomy!

This was my first visit with Dr. Moylan. Before examing me, Dr. Moylan met me in her office and talked with me about my health. Dr. Moylan was very thorough. She gave me the most complete gyn exam I've had in years. She is easy to talk with and answered any questions I had. I was very satisfied with Dr. Moylan and her staff.

Dr. Moylan delivered my 3rd son and it was the best delivery experience of the 3 by far. My 3rd son was the biggest of my babies but delivered so much easier than the others. I credit this to Dr. Moylan's experience, expertise, and patience.
