Dr. Laura Mary Reuter, MD

She has a warm manner that became placating when I asked unanswered questions. She continued to try the same protocol even when I questioned things. She did not monitor hormones during a pregnancy and then did not genetically test the tissue when I had discussed with surgeon having that done. Finally, she repeated treated me like there was no hope, even though I had just been pregnant and while she had no time to discuss options with me and I was still paying for treatment. I would choose a different physician in this practice or a different RE.

Do not recommend her-she doesn't care about her patients at all and makes costly mistakes

While Dr. Reuter does not come off as very personable, she really did a wonderful job treating our fertility issues. There was a general sequence of tests and procedures we went through until we found the correct one. We never expected it to happen as quickly as it did, and I believe it's because once treatment did not work, she immediately moved on to the next in line. We only saw her a few times during our 3 months with the office, but that was fine because the nurses were very knowledgeable and helpful. Whenever there was an issue they were very prompt and I genuinely felt cared about. The office staff sometimes seemed spacey, depending on who answered the phone, but they always got the job done or relayed my request for a call back. I would definitely recommend Dr. Reuter and her office!

From the very beginning, my experience with this doctor was not good. During my first consult with this doctor, I was never given a chance to ask any questions. She just got up and left the room at some point when she was done talking. She had me pay for all different kinds of tests and ultrasounds, but I never found out the results. It would take days for her to return phone calls. I had to call several times to set up and pay for a consultation appointment just to find out that she still had no clue why I was not getting pregnant. Her attitude made it very clear that she could not care less about me. All in all, she was wasting my time, my money and playing with my emotions. I cannot recommend this doctor.

From the moment I began this journey, it was not good. The nurse couldn't find a vein and poked me twice, I never have trouble with nurses finding a vein. Nothing was explained to me, the process, how long it would take, my options etc. i still don't know what they found out from the many ultrasounds at $300 a pop. I only saw Dr. Reuter once after my initial consult. The office staff was rude. When I called the nurse to ask questions, she would say you can talk to the Dr. about that, but I never saw the Dr. Making appointments was a joke because the nurse would say, just call and tell them you want an ultrasound, when I would call they had no idea and would ask me questions or argue about what I needed, when all I did was relay the message the nurse told me. Very unorganized, not a stress free environment to help you when you're trying to conceive. They just want your money.

Out of the 5 appointments I had, I saw her once. Every time I called into her office with a question or a concern, the average time it took to get back to me was 5 days and it usually got answered because I called more than once to get an answer. Not great when everything regarding fertility relies on TIMING!! I am just really upset with this provider and this office (Christie Clinic in Champaign, IL) and am currently looking for another provider.

Dr Reuter's office is very well organized and the staff are very friendly and helpful. While she seemed friendly and caring, she was unable to diagnose my problem and treat it adequately. It seemed like she was just interested in experimenting on more treatments on me so that she could make more money out of me as a patient. And, their office lab and their procedures did not seem up to the mark either.
