Excellent Experience!

Could not have been happier with my treatment and the results of my neck fusion surgery.

Very disappointed on Dr. Summer and staff. Her lack of respond to a request I made in writing to her made me lose confidence on her ability to take care of my health needs. I ask her to provide me with a letter summarizing my condition. I made follow up call the first two weeks and her assistance kept telling me that they will call me when the letter was ready. I made the point to emphasize that this matter was very important to me and that time was of the essence. By the fourth week I called two times, the assistance didn’t even bother to call me back. I decided, after several years of she been my Rheumatologist, to terminate her services. It does not take weeks to write a letter, this simple act made me doubt her work ethics.

Great experience with Dr. Summers and staff. Would highly recommend to anyone needing care!

Dr. Summers is thorough but kind of abrupt. She would ask me a question and then while I was still answering she'd move on to the next thing. I also felt like she was a bit patronizing or condescending. However, she knows how to do her job and I feel that she will leave no stone unturned in diagnosing and treating me properly.

When I first went to Dr. Summers which was at least 10 years ago I was experiencing severe pain. After trial and error of finding a treatment that did not have an adverse affect on me I am able to function and handle RA and Lupus much better. I feel very comfortable talking to her and I have always felt that she has my best interest in heart.

I have been seeing Dr Summers for my RA for over 5 years and had no problems with her or her PA; however, this past year there was a huge turnover on her office/nursing staff and her current nurse is very rude and argumentative. I had no desire to go back there. I am going to look for another doctor that specializes in Rheumatology.

Dr. Summers certainly appears to be competent but that's where it ends. She seems to just be going thru a checklist in her head not listening to the patients concerns. Minimizes the issues of pain and loss of function with statements like "we all get older". I'm only in my early 50's. I have RA, ortho arthritis and another immune disorder. Made no effort to co-ordinate with my other doctor to find solutions. I saw her numerous times until I decided that if she was just going to write a prescription for an NSAID, I could save my money and get the same from my General Practitioner. Difficult to get an appointment, it took 8 weeks to get the 1st appointment...not worth the wait. There must be a better rheumy in Orlando.

I could not even get an appointment. The office was closed last week however no one changed the voice mail so I've left three messages. When I did finally get a human she was so rude I decided to not even proceed. I have been diagnosed with Lupus and I have all my lab work but was told I need a note from my doctor who is off until Jan. 6th. I was referred to Dr. Summers. This is a sad way to run an office.
