Great GP

I have seen Dr. Lingley a handful of times. It is very difficult to get an appointment. I never waited very long in the main office, but I waited in the room for Dr. Lingley for over half an hour each time--even with young children. She is polite and gentle, which is great for many people, but I found her a bit TOO calm and soft-spoken, lacking energy and warmth, for young children. She is very knowledgeable and does take the time to listen to my concerns.

After relocating, I had ALL my medical files sent to the Dr Lingley's Hillsborough office,only to discover that only one was ever entered into the UNC system and the rest lost. After inquiring, the response I received was "we don't know were they are or what happened to them, are you sure we got them" I responded,yes,since Dr. Lingley said she had a stack that she was going through but now 2 yrs later when I need a history for a recurring issue, no one knows anything, advising me, rather cavalierly,(I might add)"Oh other offices don't send original films and reports." This office takes no responsibility for there incompetence! I checked with the transferring office and they did in fact did send originals, now I'm screwed. Never go here! They are good at taking your insurance or money but that's about it. In fact, when I asked for a referral for gynocology and dermetology I was told "I can do that". Recommend only you get your records, never send from Dr to Dr, then you'll know where… they are and have them for your medical history. I'm so sorry I trusted this Dr. and her staff, never again. Welcome to NC and there so called fine Medical service!

My husband and I have been her patients for the past 3 years. In those 3 years I can't tell you the hours we have waited to see her before an appointment. She will keep you waiting then apologize like it's not the norm but it is. You will wait months to see her and good luck making an appointment when you are sick. Her professional is good, she seems like she cares, she listens and does spend time with you BUT she downplays everything and makes you feel like you are a hypochondriac (which I am not). I would consider staying with her if her accessibility was better and if she didn't make we wait at least an hour to see her for every appointment (I think the least amount I've waited is 45 min.).
